I wouldn't mind a "vacation" mode: you can live on Ginger Island once you've updated the GI farm, but if you're married/with kids, you can't take them with you. I think it'd be cool if you could ask your spouse/kids to spend a week or so with you on Ginger Island.
You know how there is a "best dressed" pirate event on ginger island? There should be a similar best dressed ANIMAL show in front of the completed community center! ALL ANIMALS should be able to attend, be dressed with little torso outfits and hats and and be entered into contests! Could be any time or animal of the month, or what EVER. Prize? Trophy? Offers to auction the animal? Extra in game record keeping effects? Ostriches would look particularly awesome in the right getup. Animal RACING events would be awesome too!
Best dressed contest at an anytime ball or new festival at the community center after completion. Dress yourself, maybe your spouse, maybe even your PET and KIDS! Hats, torso wear… Add random dress up themes to follow! Have the contest linked to your dresser drawers!

also why do the civilians houses open at 9:00am and stuff. THEIR HOUSES NOT SHOPS
My #1 request is to be able to buy Auto-Pet machines from somebody after the removal of the store. Once you open the Theater, you can only get them from random chest drops. For an end game item, they should be purchasable from somebody in your village.
I think it would be great to include both Community center and quest to say, Help Gus out with a cooking quest IN the community center the night before a food based festival to prepare for it. Earn friendship points with the villagers and maybe double for Gus and Lewis for the help. Maybe even recruit a marriageable villager to help and a chance at dbl friendship and/or romance points

I think we all should all stop wishing and be grateful that Concerned Ape is possibly making an update AND working on a new game. He's only one person. The fact that one person made a masterpiece like Stardew Valley is more than enough. Everything else is a bonus.
What about the ability to migrate your farmer and their inventory. However it will delete the previous farm with that farmer.
Yes this means you can load your inventory up with endgame loot equipment and what-not, but thats kind of the point. You have already earned it. The way i see it is its not a competitive online game so what difference does it make?
Kids are a weaker point in the game content wise. Change in a place like Stardew is almost counter to the idea of a sleepy peaceful village.
I'd absolutely love being able to go to a different city and build friendships with npcs in that area. Maybe more dialog for main townsfolk and more secret passages
It would be completely game changing if Mr. Concerned ape puts a new qi item which would be a deluxe keg lol
Also ummmmm… It wouldn't be a great idea to put events and extra stuff to the community center… Because it would quite literally break the balance of the joja route and community center route… It would not be fair at all if there were more content in the community center; although if the joja mart also did receive such extra use and events, it would be too much work for concerned ape considering its supposed to be a very 'small update'

Some things I'd like to see:
– ability to have more pets
– have our own birthday
– being able to buy auto-petters, even after finishing CC; CC being used more, it just seems like a waste
– ability to marry the older bachelors/ bachelorettes (it feels wrong for me to date someone like Sam, since he's as old as my adult son IRL 😄)
I like your idea about maybe a new city with new NPCs, and a hotel!
And I also wondered about what happens if you have perfection, and update your save to the 1.6. For example, I'm at 68% perfection right now, so does that mean when I update it, It'll be lower since they are adding new things? I'm super excited for new content! 🤗

People not using the community centre after you build it back up again….Yeah, that's the reason it fell apart in the first place.
I'd move Joja mart onto the main road, seems like the place something like that would be on. Some sort of little country high street. The town doesn't generally look like one to me, it all seems too randomly placed.

I'd like to see more reactions to events. Like it's kind of weird that Pierre doesn't react at all to my marrying Abigail and her having kids. He's a grandpa now, and all he's thinking about is his shop. Caroline at least says 'She's probably having a blast on your farm.' Probably should get letters from your parents too acknowledging your wedding/kids, maybe with gifts. I think just about everyone should say something when your relationships change (You get married, have kids, divorces, etc…)
And yes, kids growing up more and spouses doing more around the house. Even just seeing them doing dishes or sweeping/dusting… maybe thought bubbles or emote. (We should also be able to see where they are on the map if we want to go spend time with them.)
I suppose if 1.6 is the last patch and the modding support is really good that all of these things will be possible with them. I haven't ventured much into that territory yet because 'vanilla' seems so engrossing as it is.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again; in terms of new marriage candidates, I'd really like a romance option for Marnie. she's so sweet while I don't hate mayor Lewis as much as other people, I do agree that she can do way better than him.
