➤ This is a challenge I’ve been wondering if was possible for quite sometime now in Stardew Valley. Can I try to max every skill level to 10 in just the first season, spring, year 1!? Basic tools, no energy boost, no resources, money or unlockable areas!? Let’s see how many skills we can level up in just 28 days!

  1. I felt rushed the entire video and I wasn't even playing xD I'll stick to my chill playthrough, thank you very much hahahah

  2. Wow, you did excellently! Foraging can be increased much faster by creating the seasonal seed packets using that season's forageables and repeating: planting, growing, harvesting, creating them into seed packets… Again and again, as long as you need/want.

I'd love to see how long it takes you to max out each skill level. You seriously did a fantastic job; I'm amazed at all you were able to accomplish! I wonder if cracking open geodes gives any experience since they are worth so little gold whole. For combat, I'm fairly positive that you get more skill points per mob the lower down in the mines you go, so even though you right tons of mobs, they were @ the top ⅓ of the mine's structure, for the most part, making each one worth only a fraction of a mob near the bottom of the mines.

(I hope that is understandable. I find myself having more and more issues writing clearly; I sincerely apologize if it isn't easy to comprehend.)💜

  3. editing and everything is so good in this vid, good job man. I just wondered why you put so much effort in making the video but little to no research on how you want to get your skill exp in the first place. A little bit of preparation could have made this video better and the outcome a lot less disappointing imo

  4. Sharky you made several mistakes
You can get level 10 fishing in the first few days by focusing on the Mountain fishing…
you should have sold the fish right before the Festival.
You made the decision to go and use Sprinklers Way too late…
Parsnips should have been used to power your way through the mines to the Gold Floors if not used to buy Salads which would give you decent restoration of Energy for their price
Fishing should have probs been Prioritized with Foraging on the side. Combat from after Strawberries are planted…
In theory it should be possible for a Strawberry crop size of 300-400 if you fish enough.
Giving up leveling up your tools was probs a mistake as well… as it does help to power through… I would suggest building a Second Player house and looting it for the extra tools as well… not to level them up but instead so you have the tool for use while you are upgrading. ESPECIALLY THE PICKAXE… you won't hit level 10 in a season without upgrading it.

  5. This was a sick video and im left wondering if you actually can do it by planning each day and dedicating it to a certain skill, following the other peoples tips, and maybe maximize efficiency by changing some of the rules you set in the description i.e. you're allowed to upgrade tools, unlock areas, boost energy, and whatnot.

  6. 32 levels on Summer 1 is quite good. I did a Seven Season Challenge (Perfection, minus the QoS recipes) and made it; that run, I had 31/50: 8 Farming, 9 Fishing, 6 Mining, 5 Combat, and 3 Foraging. (I tend to ignore Foraging XP until a few days before Summer 12, which is my Lv 6 deadline in order to have Lightning Rods on Su13.)

Mining and Combat are very hard to get to Lv 10 in 28 days if you haven't unlocked Skull Cavern, and even then probably require ~10 dedicated Cavern days at least. Fishing can be taken to Lv 10 if you do nothing else; Farming, possible, if you're very good at certain minmax strats (and buy lots of Kale). Foraging might be literally impossible. Lv 10 is 15000 XP (536 XP/day). If you try to get that by chopping trees, you'll run out. (Of course, they replenish, but not in time.) The chair glitch'll give you 4200 XP, though, so it might be doable with aggressive .

My guess is that the maximum possible (barring TAS) is in the mid-30s, and that's with minmax strats and RNG exploits (e.g. clay farming). So 32 is not at all bad.

  7. The amount of forageables you found on day one is suspicious to me, either the universe hates me or you are just the chosen one.. IDK

  8. So, I love this concept of a challenge and I may do it myself. I have noticed some flaws in your approach though. With the farming, you didn't go for Sprinklers ASAP, which waisted a lot of your precisious time, you even said that you waisted like 3 hours in a day just to water your crops. You also kept buying potatos and califlower which, yes do give a lot of xp, but you should have gone for the green beans since those regrow. Not saying you shouldn't have gone for the potatos or cauliflower, but green beans are an option. Fish, you did fine with honestly, just wasn't fast enough. Foraging is diffentely a hard skill to level especially in spring as everything in spring is low exp, spring onions give the most I think. In your mining, you went with the slowest approach which was using your pickaxe and I don't think you ever upgraded your tools, which means you were going slow on breaking the rocks, even with the animation cut a base pickaxe just isn't gonna cut it out. You should have gone with the bombs and start mining that way. which sure, would have been using resources, but I think it's a fair trade as you're trying to rank up your skills as fast as possible. Combat, in my opinion is the most bullshitiest skills to level up, you basically have to rush to the lower ends of the mines to get decent exp and that's if you don't die. Also, I noticed you sold a bunch of coal early in the video and to me that wasn't a smart play at all, since you could have used those coals for your furnance. You also didn't use any of your boons from your skills that you could have utilitzed, like the charcoal kiln, the tappers, Bee Houses, Cherry bombs, Staircases, Miner's Treat, the list can go on. Yes, you wouldn't use a lot of the boons you get, but they are an option and should be used. Hell, I'm surprised you didn't do the first bundle for the Community center since that gives you 30 spring seeds for free and all you have to do is forage. It was an enjoyable video and I loved watching it and I may even attempt this challenge myself, but I wanted to give you some constructive criticism so that when you try this challenge again, I could give you ideas of how to improve!

edit: another thing you did and this is prevalent in the early part of the run, you went to bed super early and the moment that clock went red, you went straight to bed. Honestly keep going until it's 1-1:30 and if you're late game and you can make all of the energy food you need, then just keep blacking out. it doesn't hurt too much, or only blackout when you're in the mines.

  9. combat is always the one i have the most trouble leveling. it is possible to get a few of them to max within spring 1 but need mods to do it. without mods fishing and foraging are the only skills ive ever maxed in spring 1

  10. I think you can max out mining and combat if you get to skull cavern. One iridium node gives you 50xp. Iridium bat gives you the most, 22xp and also serpents, mummies and iridium crabs give you 20xp. So considering the amount of fishing and farming you'll do anyway, unlocking the bus is actually doable. So, more sprinklers, more crops and more wild seeds and i think it's actually possible…

  11. Foraging is the easiest one to max out for me and probably my favorite skill. Maybe because compared to other skills, I am more into collecting items.

  12. Cherry bombs for good fast mining exp, great for getting those groups of ore done quick when you plan to not upgrade pick. I would suggest trying to quick run down to level 80 for mining gold exp, farm the skeles for a bone sword and farm the level 40ish frost bats for decent exp for a lowish risk while grabbing sprinkler and more iron bombs makings. Farm bats and make bombs, take bombs to level 80, rinse and repeat. also sprinklers. as many as you can make so you can do wild seeds and crops at the same time with out the extra time and energy expense.

Wonderful video though, great amount of progress. Didn't know Stardew had action canceling like that.

  13. If you're playing on PC, an XP indicator mod and level bars might be useful in optimizing your strategies. As a console player, I can only gaze longingly at all the wonderful quality of life mods

  14. I know it's possible for you to do it I recommend doing it again eventually you'll figure out a strategy just upload when you find a winning strategy

  15. forage only resets on sundays, and there is a hard cap (6) forageables that can appear on one map (area that you can walk in without any transitions – e.g. the farm is one map, the bus stop is one map, the beach is one map you get the idea.)
however, this limit/counter is not affected by picking the forageables, so it saves the most time to only pick up foreageables on saturdays and the last sunday of the season. keep up the nice videos 🙂

edit: im just gonna keep coming back here with edits as im remembering other things:
you can wait for good luck days to go mining as youll be able to progress thru the mines faster and will get better node spawns (all helps your xp and conserves energy); on this topic, try to get as far down in the mines as possible, if you make it to the gold levels you can get a lot of good mining and combat xp from the mobs although it is quite a bit more dangerous
you can move your bed right next to the door to get out of the house faster
save your sap for your fertilizer on your potatoes, which as someone else said should also be kale, not potatoes
large stumps give a lot of foraging xp, so it COULD (not sure) be a viable strat to buy the copper axe
complete the spring foraging bundle – the reward is 30 spring seeds, giving you, if i did the math right, 210 foraging xp
check the bat cave a bit more often – there is no cap on how many can spawn, but the more fruit already existing in your cave, the less chance that a new one will spawn.

oh and!!!! dont be afraid to reset a day if you make a big mistake or just have awful luck

  16. Would love to see Part 2!

    Some things that might've helped:
Sprinklers so you weren't wasting all the time/energy watering (or even upgrading your watering can).
Making more spring seeds & keep making more with each harvest; passive foraging XP so less tree chopping time. (Plus don't chop stumps! Only 1XP each.)
Getting lower in the mines; harder monsters so more combat XP.
Forage on Saturday only; less wasted time foraging each day & you can collect the whole week's worth of forage in one round.
Upgrade the axe so less energy used while tree chopping.
Go mining on bad luck days to find more enemies & infested floors for combat XP.
Complete the CC spring forage bundle for more spring seeds for planting?

Way to go, though! I'm impressed at how well you did!

  17. I'm not sure if this only worked for me but when you fish try fishing in the town river under the blue house with the rudder, stand as close as possible to the right os the left bush. This spot almost always guaranteed me an iridium fish when caught perfectly 🙂

  18. How did you get the eel on the first day and got to level 2 for fishing on the same day you got the rod and other stuff in the video i didn't watch it all because i think you are cheating
