    The angler gives away the golden fishing rod at 30 completed quests not 50. Also sitting on a toilet increases fishing power by 5% and throwing a golden worm in the shimmer transmutes into a consumable which permanently increases fishing power too

    For quests like the voodoo guide fish where it says "caught in caverns" i know that it must be caught near lava. Regradless of this does the biome have to be the default biome? For example can i catch this fish if im in the hollow biome? Because I have the fishing line and the sitting ducks fishing pole and yet I couldnt catch the fish after fishing for like 10 mins straight.

    This is absolutely the worst part of the game. It's boring and completely stupid. There is no need for this in the game most of the fish are useless and you have to do this just for one item. I'm on 3 days of straight fishing and I'm still not able to get the sextant. The chances are so low it serves as just a waste of time and nothing else. My fishing power is so high I caught the fish almost immediately and he still won't give me that last part or any other part to throw in the shimmer and change to the one I need. I don't have any in my inventory I already checked. This is just terrible. It needs to be taken out completely.

    You miss 2 thing
    1. If you sit on toilet it increase fishing power
    2. If you are in water with this pink ring it also increase fishing power
    Bouth can be combine

    Tip: use fallen stars and worms to get the enchanted night crawlers which give 35% bait power, which is a 10% increase from regular worms which have 25% bait powers.

    I got to the point of defeating the golem WITHOUT FISHING A SINGLE TIME just because I hate fishing in games so much lol
    but now that I'm back at this game, I kinda need to do it! At least this system is not as awful as Stardew valley haha

    Terraria slime i need help cuz im trying to get like honey bucket or honey sponge but i need the fishing quest from the angler. Im just not getting the quest though after 163 fish completed. I got it once but i just didnt do it because I didnt t know it gives special items. Please help he just isnt giving me a honey quest

    Why cant i get the quest on angler on mobile?i cliked it and nothing happens and then go to fishing ang cant get the fish that anglers want,i have 40 % on my fishing rod and master thing on bait with 50% and fishing sonar potion,i also use lava proof fishing hook while fishing in water does that help?,pls hep me i cant get the fish i cant finish his quest

    Ive been fishing alot on my master ranged playthrough since master mode is straight up impossible without Wrath/rage, endurance and life force pots
