  1. The only thing I hate about big Stardew youtubers is they say "you'll complete the joja mart/community center by the summer or spring" like no. no you wont. 99% of players aren't you guys. Like calm down, its a farming game stop trying to say its like that when majority of players aren't going to complete the community center till year 3 or much later on their first playthrough. Its different when we're talking about speed running, but this isn't clearly labeled as a speed running video, its not just you, its a LOT of the big Stardew youtubers.

  2. Morris looks like he just wants my money. Me no likey. Supporting local bussinesses all the way. Pierre greets me every time I go into the store; I like that part very much🙂

  3. I have different saves in the game, and I was thinking about doing the community center in one and Joja in the other. Then I realized that it’s ok to let go of old things, and that’s what Lewis is gonna have to do. I don’t think very many people will use the community center anymore than JojaMart. Plus, you can’t unlock certain things if you don’t go the Joja route. Also, I thought that if you didn’t get the community center done you couldn’t get the movie theatre, but you still get it. This video was VERY helpful.

So in short this is just me ranting about switching over to the Joja side, and I’m sorry if you thought this was gonna be a helpful comment to you. Thx for reading <3

  4. There are actually a lot of differences with a Joja run, and I think Joja is actually better.
    – All the community upgrades can happen faster.
    – Nothing bad happens to Pierre, he keeps his store and his hours and prices are the same.
    – Joja prices go down to match Pierre's after membership.
    – Joja is open till 11pm, 7 days a week
    – Autopetters become easily available
    – Clint will never start taking Fridays off to go stare at the boiler room
    – Sam and Shane get to keep their jobs
    – Jodi and Pam get to keep shopping where they prefer, instead of Pierre getting a monopoly
    – The Movie Theater replaces the Warehouse when it is built, and that is an actively useful purpose for the town park compared to the community center which doesn't serve the player as anything useful after completion.
    – You get a soda machine that gives you a free soda every day worth 26g, which doesn't seem like much until you realize the other choice is a trophy which gives you absolutely nothing.

  5. If you go the community center route you get Shane fired from his job and Sam plus Jodi has to buy from pierre and his items are expensive for her

  6. I am literally soulless and honesty doing joja makes me happy because I get to ruin Pierre and Lewis also Sam and Shane keep their jobs and like what bad things did joja do?

  7. I'm so glad the Joja Route exists! Just have fun Farming and use the Success (=Money) to unlock things.

For the community Center you'll otherwise need the whole deal: Fishing, Mining, Planting specific crops (And don't miss a season!)

  8. Why isn't there a scene of Pierre getting run out of town?! Pierre is a bigger rip-off than Morris/Joja. I'd also like to see Morris punch Pierre to the moon like Pierre does in the Community Center cutscene (Can anyone tell that I really hate Pierre? Cause I really do, the schmuck!).

  9. Joja are even morally right if you think about the economic impact that Joja being shut down would have. Pierre is probably raising prices to ridiculous amounts for everyone except the farmer because he relies on them a multitude of people lose their jobs. Also I honestly don't trust a bunch of elvish apple people to build safe bridges, busses, minecart rails, boiler rooms… Not to mention the fact that Jodi and Pam will have to buy overpriced food in their already difficult financial situation. Also Joja community upgrades will further help the economy especially a large warehouse or later a cinema way more than a community center. Not to mention the fact that Junimo huts are literally slave labor! So what is more moral? Building large Infrastructure with a trusted company to help the quality of life and economic capacity of a small town significantly or leaving the entire consumer economy to an unethical madman and de facto enslaving a local tribe while hurting the economy?
