Our beautiful, wholesome game seems to have a dark side! I’ve assembled a bunch of mods to attempt to make Stardew Valley as scary as possible! To my surprise, I was able to find quite a few horror themed mods, but not everything I wanted, so for the first time I’ll be making my own mod!

  1. Okay, I may sound like a psychopath, but I can't be the only one curious about how they all died? Like wouldn't it be, on some level, cool to see, like, Gus caught in his machine at the blacksmith?

  2. Some other ways to make it more horror is find ways to add tension one of the worst (best) things in horror is when you know something is wrong and gonna happen but you cant tell when basically jump scares, you hit a tree and instead of butterflys its crows or bats or sometimes when your walking theres a % chance of a bunch of crows flying by while screaming in the mines for ambience there coulf be whispers or screams to catch you off guard

  3. Thank God for the trigger warning. I almost saw a skeleton and shit all over my floor out of pure terror.

  4. I have a hard enough time seeing with vanilla fog, I'd gotten ferngill on a previous recommendation of yours, and almost immediately turned it off because the fog made it completely unplayable.

  5. This really does feel like a horror game! And I feel like a mod pack that really covers the sounds & music, in addition to all the scary stories, could be a REALLY different game!

  6. ANOTHER BANGER VIDEO 😭😭 Other great PS2 horror games would be some songs from Silent Hill 3 and Rule of Rose. Also Fatal Frame 1, 2, and 3 could be very good for ambient noises as that's most of the sound design for that game

  7. So, for your music mod, I have 1 suggestion: make it so something is replaced by the resident evil 1 basement theme. Definitely think it’d be funny to hear it over the flower dance

  8. Dayum, I only started to play this game a few days ago…
Well, now i know this game can be horror game too 😀

Ngl, after seeing this I'm kinda excited to see the other mod-videos but i dont wanna spoil the games ending for myself.
Its soooo hard to resist tho😂

  9. I'm a huge horror nerd but also enjoy Stardew so this hits so good. I love it all. Thanks for showcasing all of this and I look forward to seeing/hearing the finished soundtrack/ambient noises that you add!

Your content has been spectacular and I am glad that I stumbled across your channel. Keep up the great work.

  10. do you think it would be creepy to remove critters altogether? i think theres something incredibly eerie about places where even animals refuse to pass through. it has a special flavor of unsettling to it.
you could even remove enemies from the mines completely, or do something similar to dont starve, where darkness inflicts damage. the mines could get darker the lower you go, and youd be dealt more and more damage as you went down more levels. and you could have something like the mining helmet from terraria so darkness doesnt hurt you?
something about a foggy, entirely desolate map seems way scarier than any monster or critter or ghost or redesign. idk.
the only redesign i can think of that would really really scare me is if you turned the villagers into stalker game-type characters that chase you and insta-kill you or do configurable amounts of damage. that has the potential to be terrifying. like, stardew changes genres to become a stalker thriller and there is no longer any focus on horror, your only objective is to survive

  11. As someone who lives in Ireland, anyone who says the fog in the climates mod is too hard to see in and should be reduced has clearly never actually been in fog
