The problem I have with Qi quests is they arent really worth the effort, the horse flute imo is the best item followed by upgrading your galaxy weapon, after that, I wait for the prismatic quests where I can buy my way to completion to get the rest of the items. The Qi beans is by far the hardest and least worthwhile but it surprises me some have found it the easiest, after doing this once I never attempted it again. I have always felt that the rewards for this section of the game just simply arent worth it unless you get the prismatic quest. I understand it was supposed to be the ultimate game challenge, which it is, but concernedape couldve made them more worthwhile as most players, especially experienced players are already pretty much late game in every way when they start doing these and most of the items are not needed any longer

I just item id my name as artifact and call guss 400x then start qi bean quest and pop my geodes…. Still failed. Next time i'm just gonna name myself qi fruit
9 months late and I didnt realize Ginger cured the nauseated debuff. Would have saved me quite a bit of annoyance.
Good tips all around, if anything this video helped me realize the quests arent nearly as daunting as I thought theyd be on paper. Cheers to you and the rest of the comments for being helpful.
yall gotta start using explosive ammo for the mine challenges, and for qi beans while mining. makes it so much faster lol

Fun fact: The spiders have an absolutely crazy drop pool. They drop everything dust sprites do (winter foreagables, coal), and everything void spirits do (void essence, bars, rare disc), as well as Qi items, like pressure nozzles, or even galaxy souls.
Burglar ring and monster musk lets you get a disgraceful amount of loot from spider slaughter.
I'm around this area of the game so while I think I know what to do, it's always good to learn other people's ideas.
On that note, I want to mention how weird it is that there's no legendary fish in Ginger Island. It just seems like a place that would have one, but that's just my perspective.

Are qi quests repetable
Im currently doing the qi crops quest, and i found out that by mining with bombs in the mines gave me like a dozen of qi beans in just a couple of hpurs
Although rocks are not a reliable method for obtaining qi beans, the quarry offers a dependable approach to acquiring a good amount of them. By utilizing a couple of mega bombs to detonate the quarry, you can gather on average ten qi beans.
The way I always got Qi beans was bomb spam in the mines, it worked well enough for me.

my tip for Qi's cuisine is you can go to the saloon and buy a lot A LOTT of coffee and then cook them into the triple shot coffees and those will count!!!
qi beans: my farm was half forest and i just used megabombs to clear it, got more beans than i needed day one lol
I prefer bombing my way through the volcano or skull cavern. Iirc, I got ~80 qi beans in a day

If you have the dangerous mines I SWEAR killing monsters gives you way more beans. After I'd thrown in the qi fruit challenge I got like… 50 in two days of the mines. Granted, that's with burglar ring and luck buffs but I feel like that's accessible by this point of the game.
So i desperately needed hay and harvested 480 pieces. From that I got 2 Qi Beans.
So it is possible but might be the worst way of getting them lol
