Terraria, despite starting its life as a quaint little indie game in 2011, is actually in the top 10 best selling games of all time…

Almost. It’s 11th.

And surprisingly, there’s not as many comparisons to Minecraft as you might expect. “2d Minecraft” isn’t 90% of the negative reviews.

  1. I'M SORRY IT COSTS 7 DOLLARS ON STEAM???

I SPENT THIRTY FUCKING DOLLARS FOR IT ON SWITCH!!!

    WHAT THE FUCK?!?

And I wasn't even able to enjoy it, not even because the game was bad, but because it was clearly not designed for console and controlled like crap. Now I feel even worse about wasting that 30 dollars. I could've just bought it on steam for dirt cheap God damnit.

  2. Minecraft and Terraria both have an advantage (at least on Java) compared to something like idk TF2. Mods. When the game gets boring just through some mods or a mod pack like in such as the crazy or insane craft mod pack and you have hours of more enjoyment. Tinkerers construct or thermal dynamics can make the game 20x more fun on Minecraft just like Calamity or Thorium for Terraria

  3. The start is so boring and building is so stupid difficult. I dont wanna place the fucking background blocks down, just let me build a house. Also yeah its piss easy

  4. I think the worst part about terraria is the lack of info. you really need to rely on the wiki if you want to progress

  5. 0:42 O remember farming the wall of flesh over and over again for clockwork rifle it reached a point where I began to see differently and wore the mask of WoF to convey the insanity I was in

  6. I kinda have to play death mode in calamity now as its to easy now 🙁

Any suggestions on what would make it harder( aka mods that make it harder in a fair way and not stuff like one shot mode)

  7. 4:58 And that's what makes me prefer Terraria to Minecraft (I'm a Minecraft veteran and only have had Terraria for like 2 years). Vanilla Minecraft feels too empty and contentless to me. 90% of the game is you being creative and thinking of projects to do, while Terraria always has that progression and thousands of items to vary through each time

  8. So your telling me.. me who just started terraria like 5 days ago, could survive a rolling cactus, jungle bats, and a bunch of traps and enemies? With plat armor and the bloody butcher.

  9. Great video man, I really enjoyed it. One thing to mention, people with a lot of hours leave negative reviews as a joke, I myself left a review once while I was on 5000 hours saying "I want my life back" and they're not meant to be malicious for the game.

  10. My first playthrough took me over 300 hours to beat moonlord and another 200 to make a half decent world and zenith etc but my second play through I beat moonlord in only 50 hours and so far I’m in 100 hours

  11. A lot of these are actually quite fair points, but what it really shows it's that those reviews like "the game is too long" aren't necessarily bad, it just means that the person who played it was looking for a shorter, more concise experience, and that doesn't mean the game is bad by itself, just that it didn't match the preferences of that specific player.

  12. why is everyone such a baby over torch luck? the negative luck hard to even notice, I thought of it as something experienced players in the community could find out about and utilize, that being extremely easy since theres a new boss that does it all for you (not to mention the negative torch luck providing incentive to fight it once you learn about it)
