Today I cover one of Terraria’s most iconic versions, the Legacy editions. While these versions of the game seemed great on paper. When they actually got released, they definitely had their problems. In this video I cover the 6 biggest ones I could find..

  1. Yep, makes sense. Good effort and scripting.
And while it was rather the tutorial than the legacy version, I still get huge levels of nostaligia from playing it because it had what is now the morning rain theme and I absolutely loved the vibe so much.

  2. I got into terraria through the mobile version, way back when furnaces where round, i fell really nostaugic about it, but I don't miss it at all, best thing I ever done was to buy the steam version lol. ps (all I knew about it was by playing so I ended up facing ocram with hallowed gear and got demolished, but eventually made it with sub optimal gear)

  3. i still have issues with world corruption…
i hate losing 200 hours of playtime and barely get the strenght to start playing again :c

  4. The original console versions were actually based on 1.1. This is why they advertised Ocram as a final boss; at the time, it was still just the 3 mechanical bosses in Hardmode. This is also why you use the mechanical boss summoning items to craft the Suspicious-Looking Skull, and why Ocram drops Souls of Blight, and why all of the console-exclusive endgame equipment required Hallowed equipment to craft them. Back then, all of the exclusive equipment was a straight-up recolor too, but they all got unique textures when 1.2 was released.
EDIT: It's also why you have to use the original Hardmode ore armors to make the Ocram armors; they simply forgot to change it.
Additionally, these weren't the only things Terraria Legacy offered on release. The most notable extra content was a tutorial, achievements (which the main game didn't get until 1.3), and a way more simple multiplayer system via the console's built-in online services. Steam invites weren't added to Terraria until 1.3. And for a kid who didn't know what an IP address was and only had one computer in the house, that Xbox 360 is your only bet for playing multiplayer, be it with friends or family.

  5. funny thing about the collectors edition of terraria on PC i failed to get it to work probably for years and then when i finally decided hey i want that bunny pet i could not for the life of me find a video tutorial for how to unlock it. the legit way
eventuelle i figured it out but man there is a ton of tutorials on how to cheat it in

  6. Started with a Playstation Portable (PSP) later switched to ps3, and ps4 around 2015. Played the classic legacy edition around Janurary 2016. Pretty fun ngl. Despite some crafting recipes looking weird, and some exploits, it was fun. I prefered the the old crafting menus than the newer version of terraria. I would straight up delete terraria and play the legacy console version to enjoy fighting off against Ocram

  7. My fondest memories are of a ps2 and I clearly remember having a ps1 as a child. You made me feel old and I'm not even 25 years old yet.

  8. OOOH THAT'S WHY THERE WAS A WIERD LOOKIN CORRUPTION CASTLE
IT WAS THE DUNGEON BEING ENTIRELY CORRUPTED BY THE BUG
(fairshare note: we need a corruption castle it looks cool)

  9. Hey man, really cool video. Just one small piece of criticism: If you're going to upscale textures to use as visual aid, please use nearest neighbor type upscaling. The textures look really blurry if you don't.

  10. As much as the legacy version does kinda suck, it was the first version I ever played on my Kindle fire in middle school. I remember collecting all the pets like the guinea pig and werewolf, and not knowing how to get my world into hardmode because for some reason it never occured to me to use the wiki. And I remember playing the tutorial world for the first time, and when it became night being so scared that the demon eyes were going to kill me. And things that broke progression, like arch demons spawning in hell pre-hardmode and dropping crystal shards. I'll always have nostalgia for that version even if it is bad

  11. THE "MINECRAFT IS BETTER" PART OF THE THUMBNAIL IS SPECIFICALLY FOR CREATIVE PURPOSES AND I THINK TERRARIA AND MINECRAFT ARE BOTH RESPECTABLE GAMES!! 😭😭

  12. About that corruption bug. The autosave feature also would randomly corrupt the world. Happened to me twice. Turned autosave off and it never happened again.
