Not only is it one of your best money makers, especially early on, but you can find all sorts of helpful items like weapons, ore, seeds, and pretty much anything else you can think of.

Don't forget that using the Luremaster profession, every Soggy Newspaper has a 1/10 chance of turning into Cloth inside the recycling machine. This can be sold for 470g or 658g (+40%) with the Artisan profession. And it is good for tailoring if you don't want to have farm animals on your land
I keep getting the exclamation mark, clicking the use button and nothing happens- what am I doing wrong? I have genuinely spent hours doing it and watched so many videos ๐

People not liking the fishing minigame is both understandable and hilarious to me, particularly with crab pots being a good way to level the skill up without actually fishing. Itโs the crab pots I donโt like using, not the fishing.
Thank you so much! I still have have about 6 more fish to collect for the community center and it is completely done for me, but I had no clue when to catch these fish and was just trying all day every day. But now I can try at the right times. But that means hoping it rains because I don't have the supplies to get a rain totem lol
But the bait made by the bin is never meant to be sold. You should use the average price of what you get from fishing with that bait.
Fishing is by far and away my favorite part of stardew.., my first game was co-op and all I did was fishโฆ

I love the bait bin! Sure, you can buy or make bait, but it's so much more convenient to have a bin next to your crab pots so you can reset them on the go. Otherwise I just end up never touching them.
