  1. i have a question, does prospector make coal more likely to drop from rocks or all sorces (i.e. killing dust sprites)? as someone who doesnt like to sell my metal bars, i choose prospector, but im really not sure how much its helping me

  2. The haunted skulls actually ate the hands, and drop them when killed because you broke open the skull to find the hand inside. Source? Just trust me bro ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  3. I mustโ€™ve been so lucky, on my first playthrough when I finished the crafts room, a while later I found a mystic stone and got a prismatic shard

  4. On my first playthrough i attempted the quarry mine WAY too early and the only reason I survived was the magic rock candy drop

  5. Is anybody else's game not going them rocks?? Or is it just me? I noticed before the rocks would be giving me 1-3 rocks atlease but now it would be 0-1. Any clue what's happening?? Is it because of the profession I chose? (I picked the miners profession) Am I going crazy?? Help please. ๐Ÿฅฒ

  6. Thx for the video! Helped me understand some stuff a lot better.
Only thing I have experienced is that you can absolutely get knocked out by jumping down a shaft with low health in the scull cavern. I didn't think that was a thing because I never had that happen before so I just jumped in to eat later and after it said how far I fell it also said I got knocked out T.T

  7. thanks for that guide!
sadly the slingshot is useless on Switch, as the analog controls are way to sensetive ๐Ÿ™ (the arrow is basically not usable)

  8. I just had to comment…NObody said ANYthing about your "Avatar" intro"???!!! Kudos; I love it!
(Admittedly, I did not read all the comments, just a quick scroll…aaand I realize now that people probably commented way back on the first episode. Well, it's still a draw even though I haven't watched the others).

  9. โ€œSquid kids are the only source of squid inkโ€. Splatoon playersโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ

  10. I'm super interested in a combat section…so I could see what monsters give the most xp…I have everything level 10 except combat

  11. These guide videos and the comments on them (and the whole community tbh) have been INSANELY helpful. I donโ€™t get nearly as much time to play as Iโ€™d like and Sal and the comments have saved me soooo much time I wouldโ€™ve wasted doing a lot of trial and error or just flat out wasted from doing things wrong or not at all. I love that this game can be played any way you want and I really just wanted a chill game to play after work before bed and Iโ€™ve been able to get that experience with you guysโ€™ help. Thank you!! And and all newbie tricks are welcome! โค

  12. Me, trying to get the most out of this video's tips: wait is that Mining Melancholy from DKC 2 in the background

  13. I click on this to learn about caving and get greeted with the absolute best intro to something like this that I have ever seen

  14. the first time i ever played and unlocked the quarry i found a prismatic shard just lying there – thought it was just part of the game. VERY disappointed next time i played and realised how crazy that was

  15. This might be kinda weird but stardew valley is a big comfort game to me, and your videos are actually really really helpful for me. Iโ€™m struggling lately with some stuff and I donโ€™t really feel confident at night so I try to keep my mind busy, and while I make my art and no one else is awake I just listen to your videos. Sometimes I hate peoples voices from some sound sensitivity but yours hasnโ€™t bothered me. When I watch your videos at night I donโ€™t feel as scared or alone. Apologies if thatโ€™s weird, I just wanted to try to show some appreciation for helping me cope through some stuff.

  16. I have to STRONGLY disagree to your evaluation of the mining professions for several reason:
    1. 'Coal is not an issue that late'
NOTHING is an issue late in the game and the things which is the LEAST issue ALL THROUGHOUT the game is money, except for the first spring maybe.
Coal on the other hand stays an issue through all stages of the game and only stops being an issue at a point at which EVERY other issue already is solved.
The coal burners or not a solution as wood is in high demand throughout the whole first two years as you need to rush your buildings within the first 2 seasons to be able to fullfill the community center in Y1 AND chopping wood requires time and energy for a 1:10 ratio + crafting cost of the burners
    2. 'Geodes are not a good way for money'
That's right but money is not the issue, getting the 0.1% drops for the collections is, just as having ENOUGH grifts for EVERYONE, ALWAYS, therefor more more geodes is less pressure on your economy
Also Geodes can provide you not only with collection stuff and gifts but also with prismatic shards (see Blacksmith + Geode Cracker), Ancient Seeds, Dino Eggs etc
    3. 'Higher selling price for bars is great'
No, no it's not, it sucks big time
At the point in the game at which you're no longer in need of your metal bars for crafting, you've likely made and spent several million while still having several million in your wallet readily available, so why would selling metal bars be of ANY importance?

Pretty much everything you said in regards if the professions will lead to players spreading their ressources EXTREMELY thin and therefor missing important milestone time limits during their first year and even their second year.

  17. I'm always hurting for coal, and go that route with the level 10 option. Always hurting for wood to burn, always hurting for coal – at least for awhile, while I'm trying to build out all the preserve jars and kegs and barns etc… i go through wood like crazy and coal is also a pain point. Must be a me thing I guess.
