I hate the argument that “because I can’t play as myself I can’t get into a game” it’s the same argument as “if I don’t see my sex or color on screen of a film/show I can’t relate to a character”. Its not the rest of the worlds fault that these people have no imagination, and it shows a severe lack of empathy for anyone who isn’t them. It shows how self-centered they are that they can’t empathize with anything but themselves.

The devs for Satisfactory say you can only play as a girl and you just got to deal with it and these pronoun people are completely silent… Stardew valley struggles to put pronouns in a game and they lose their minds!
Its a sad fucking world when people cant create their own visions or art the way they wanted all because it has to check off a bunch of different political boxes. Thats why we need to get behind the devs of Space Marine 2 because they're recieving flak for saying "We dont want our game to be about RL political views / ideas, we just wanted to make a fun game, so thats what we focused on". These people / groups scream the loudest so companies often cave in to their demands. We need to speak up too and say we dont want this control crap over our entertainment. Someone wants to make something about that stuff, fine. But dont force others to follow your beliefs.

I think the most frustrating part about this is just how much Concerned Ape has done to accommodate everyone. This is just the perfect example of it never being enough for this group.
I'd be willing to bet that this person also plays Sims 4. Sims 4 added pronouns about 8 years after the game was released. In fact, I feel like EA and the Sims had a big part in starting this whole thing where every game has to include pronoun options. Of course, anyone that complained that they should have worked on fixing their broken game instead of adding in useless pronouns was met with hate and name calling and even banned from their forums. I haven't played the Sims in years, I moved on to better games. That community (Sims 4) is way too toxic for me.

– If it's modded in, what's the issue?
– While it might be nice to have a they/them option, would it really be used enough to justify it for vanilla? And trans? You can be correct from the start, or be something else. Just play the character you want to play. Why go through all the rigmarole in a game too? The game doesn't even model primary sexual characteristics. kiddos just appear. The closest it gets is mentioning adoption or not.
