Every event or boss post golem is useless by the time of pillar weapons. like why would I ever do the Martian invasion when it gets replaced in an hour. which is true for all the weapons post golem.
My fix? Make the cultist one of the hardest bosses in the game + he confiscates a couple weapons during the fight forcing you to use post golem Content!
How would that affect summoner?

  1. I would like post golem content to be spread throughout hard mode instead and nerfed as necessary. For the events they can get a difficulty boost after golem

    Yeah make cultist harder to the point where you would want the new gear you get after golem instead of going straight to the pillar stuff.

    There should simply be more requirements other than killing Golem to get to Cultist: a functional space biome with specific ore, a boss and the martial invasion to provide additional equip for said boss would make sense lore-wise and make the endgame feel like less of a boss rush.

  4. I think the actual problem is post-plantera (including Golem).

    Once Plantera is defeated, the game is virtually complete: Chlorophyte armor is almost as good as any of their upgrades (beetle, spectre, etc) and Lunar events already give super powerful weapons to fight moon lord.

    I often find myself one or two hours away from defeating moon lord once I defeated Plantera.

    In Master worlds you would need to actually gear up since pre-Plantera equipment might not actually get the job done, but for Expert and Normal the post-plantera equipment it’s there if you just want to grab it and have cool looking armor and weapons, but they aren’t needed at all.

    Although Frost and Pumpkin moon are great, those are a lot of fun (all my homies hate Martian invasion).
