Terraria: everything is a projectile

4:33 so chaos balls, and every other "projectiles" from Caster AI like Goblin Sorcerer and Tim are npcs ?
Am I… A Projectile ?
even vladimir putin is a projectile , since he misses the one thing he s supposed to do
So… I am a projectile too! NYOOOOOM
other "projectile" that can be destroyed like the ones fired from imps, goblin sorcerers and dark casters are also NPCs, if you hover your cursor on them it will display the name of the "projectile"
1:17 is Chester also a projectile? I assumed that money trough and chester were npcs
we love OOP folks
Wand of Sparking did a whole playthrough with only one projectile at a time, it's really worth the watch!
ngl I didn't know jackhammers were in this game until this video
wait, it all projectile ?
i kinda knew this already by playing around with projectile ids
am I a …. ?
it's surprising how somewhat unnoticed everything being a projectile seems, but i guess no one really expects something with complex ai (minions and pets) to just be a projectile
i though this was gonna be Terraria but everything is a projectile, like gore and dust being projectiles.
I assume the grand design sending the wire to the end of the world is because it only has one end to work with (the tile it's spawned on), so the other end just goes to the tile 0,0 as a default point
What about chester and the mobile piggy bank? Are those projectiles (pets) or npcs (Can be interacted with)?
everything in the multiverse is
So if pets are projectiles, and you can't interact with them, what is Chester's deal?
Yeah, i realized that when i tried to make a mod in tmodloader for fun and i saw that a LOOOT of things are projectiles.
Also, one interesting note for Master mode FTW (Legendary mode)
You know how in Expert mode attacks generally deal 2x damage and enemies have 2x health, and in Master mode this increases to 3x?
In Legendary mode, enemies have 4x health, but projectiles still only deal 3x damage.
Contact damage, on the other hand, increases to 5.33333333333…x (16/3 the Classic mode value, or 16/9 the Master mode value)
Therefore, Vile Spit, Water spheres, and Imp Fireballs, since they're technically NPCs, they deal this boosted Contact damage.
What's more: Legendary mode also often makes these indestructible during the boss fights
Ok, I get that many things that aren't projectiles are projectiles and a couple things that are projectiles are just NPCs…
But then what the heck are weapons that are neither, like Swords? And, also, would swords like The Night's Edge and Terra Blade (minus the obvious projectile) be in the same category?
So this means the Phantom Phoenix, Vortex Beater, and Phantasm can become True Melee weapons if we do some shenanigans with 999 beach balls
Wrong. This video is a NPC, as we can interact with it. Not Projectile
Some of you are wondering how you can interact with stuff like the Money Trough if they are projectiles and non-interactive.
I'm about 90% sure that the code for interacting with the trough on click is handled outside of normal projectile code, though I could be wrong.
Makes sense vile spit is technically an npc, considering that the projectiles from dark casters and imps also are. I mainly learned this when I was playing modded with Fargo's banner boost, and was confused that it counted the fireballs as it's own enemy.
Shots from fire imps and goblin sorcerers are also entities and not projectiles
"Minions are basically just pets, but with damage values."
That checks out considering the class was directly inspired by damaging pet items in oldgen console versions of the game.
What would it be like if every melee weapon were a short sword type?
The deadliest projectile in this game will always be the bad Tinkerer reforges — psychological damage cannot be avoided!
Merchant NPCs were actually supposed to be projectiles as well, but the devs specifically made the goblin tinkerer an npc so that it was possible to physically harm him. Eventually, that led to the idea of making all merchants into npcs for the sake of consistency.
Love the Stardew Valley ost
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me… UNTIL NOW!
Duke Fishron's bubbles aren't projectiles, but Bubble Gun's bubbles are projectiles. Logic!
Can you stop these projectiles from spawing by filling the mob cap?
Everything is either dust or projectiles, got it
the terraria version of " everything is a minion"
