Idk if it’s cause it’s modded or not but every world I’ve made since I returned from my like 5 yearish break has had a sky island of the opposite infection so if it was a crimson world then a corruption island would spawn, now if that island spawned with sand than maybe some fell for whatever reason and infected the ground
Best I can figure last time I played the crimson didn’t exist

if you’re playing calamity it adds a sky island of the opposite evil biome. other than that the only way to get the opposite evil biome is to get the red/purple solution from the steampunker or the respective evil biome seed from the dryad
