For that ore you need a gold or a platinum pickaxe! But if you don’t have those, bombs can work on that ore as well.

This really isn’t a complex system. Better ores need better pickaxes. That will be a constant as you play. Find the best material, and make a pickaxe out of it. Then mine the next best material, etc. You will encounter many other ores in that fashion

It’s a bit like minecraft, you can’t mine diamonds with a wooden tool, you need at least a platinum/gold pick axe to mine these
