I’m not a expert builder by any means, but comparing it to the photo I feel you need more spread of branches to achieve the desired look

Try a mangrove tree as a base and change the leaves, looks a little more like it, but the tree you made is good still

The shape looks good. I would incorporate fences and horizontal trapdoors to create thinner branches. You could also use copper grates for the orange leaves

I think the base needs widening to make the top look more like the reference photo. The proportions seem off though the general shape is there
