How do you organize your storage in Stardew Valley? Please share 🙂

    I have 8 regular chests:

    1. Items for gifting (diamonds, jade/topaz, amethyst, beer, etc)
    2. Items for mining (bombs, food, buffs)
    3. Artisan goods (especially shit I’ve grown but don’t have machines for yet, like wool and pine tar)
    4. Junk chest of clothes and old fishing/mining gear
    5. Tree/crop seeds and fertilizers
    6. Ores/bars, coal, clay, battery packs
    7. Regular resources like wood, fiber, stone, sap, hay
    8. Empty chest that will probably hold fish and food ingredients whenever I start buying up all the recipes

    1) General resources (wood, stone, clay)
    2) Mining (ores, bars, artifacts, mob drops)
    3) Farming (seeds, fertilizers, saplings)
    4) Forage (forgeable fruits/veg, main food in fridge)
    5) Fishing (poles, bait, fish, shells)
    6) Special (gifts, quests, books, event items)

    Out front of the house:

    1. misc machines

    2. fishing (bait, bobbers)

    3. mining (minerals, monster loot)

    4. general farming (fertilizer, sprinklers, mixed seeds, etc)

    5. spring seeds

    6. summer seeds

    7. fall seeds

    8. winter seeds

    9. general materials (wood, stone, fiber, tree seeds, etc)

    10. important (geodes, boxes, stuff to sell at the guild, bombs, tools, gifts for quests, mystic syrup, fairy dust)

    Inside the house:

    1. furniture i don’t have a spot for

    2. misc stuff (old tools i can’t get rid of/trinkets/frequently used rings, rabbit’s feet, spouse gifts, prismatic shards, cloth)

    3. legendary fish (don’t have my fishtanks set up yet)

    4. roe

    5. fruit

    Fridges:

    1. Food with buffs

    2. Food without buffs

    3. Misc Ingredients (stuff bought from pierre, eggs, milk, coconuts, fishing jelly, tea leaves, etc)

    4. Spring forage/crops

    5. Summer forage/crops

    6. Fall/Winter forage/crops

    7. frequently used food with buffs (spicy eel, lucky lunch, lobster bisque, espresso, etc)

    And every chest is color coded

    Green: Seeds of all Kind
    Normal color: crafting items
    Black: ores and coal etc
    Yellow: important items / items to Gift / items for Gunther/ Community center

    1. Spring crops, summer crops, fall crops, fruit/special crops, seeds, fertilizer.
    2. Spring forage, summer forage, fall forage, winter forage, beach forage, desert forage.
    3. Spring flowers, summer flowers, fall flowers, mushrooms, artisan goods, animal products.
    4. Resources (stone, wood, etc,) ores and ingots, gems and geodes, monster loot, weapons, weapon overflow.
    5. Lake fish, ocean fish, river fish, crab pot fish, trash, bobbers and lures.
    6. This row is for anything and everything else. It’s mostly here to balance the room.

    Pink chest = fruit

    Light green chest = veggies

    Dark green = forage items

    Light blue = fishing items and fish I want to keep for food

    Purple = flowers

    Yellow = farm supplies like shears and pail and extra eggs and milk before processing mayo and cheese, and honey

    Orange = artisan goods wanting to keep for gifts or eat and other cooking items

    Dark red = seeds fertilizer, acorns, tree harvests, tools not using at the moment, coffee beans

    Black = wood, stone, ores, sap, fiber, generally things you can get from the mines and quickly drop off

    Grey = minerals and gems I want to keep

    White = random items from rewards and stuff

    Regular brown = other junk and misc, and overflow until I make the bigger chests for each or place a second chest

  7. 1. Tools for daily essential tasks
    2. Building material, including monster drops
    3. Seeds
    4. Crops (expanded if necessary)
    5. Fish and anything related to them
    6. Gems
    7. Old gear
    8. “Take to town” box at the exit to the town

  8. Color coordinated chests for:

    1. Natural resources (wood, stone, fiber, tree seeds, sap, etc.)

    2. Mining (ores, ingots, gems, and minerals/combat supplies)

    3. Foraged items

    4. Farming (with the big chests can for both crops and supplies)

    5. Fish/fishing

    6. I always make one for community center items and museum/quest items, and as the game progresses it becomes a special/miscellaneous chest
