What’s the most difficult part of achieving Perfection?

  1. I’m doing a perfection run and I feel like I’m staying on top of things but something is telling me that I’m going to end up forgetting something… What should I be extra neurotic about?

For me it’s the crafting. It’s so easy to forget to buy recipes and so annoying to figure out what you’re missing.

The damn walnuts. My last save was at like 99% perfection but I couldn’t get it because the nuts were glitched or something.

  4. Not the most difficult but the most annoying part was crafting. Like I’ve spent so much time and resources on crafting loads of stuff I didin’t need because I didin’t know which recipies I hadn’t made

  5. For crafting, you can go to settings and select Show Advanced Crafting Information or something like that, so it shows how many time’s you’ve crafted an item/cooked a recipe. Literally saved me from going insane and making sure I didn’t miss anything a thousand times. I’m on my perfection speedrun, and atm the most challenging part is getting all the gold for the things you buy at Wizard’s place.

Definitely crafting ![img](emote|t5_2wb7y|51696)mine’s showing 99% for the crafting part and can’t figure out what’s missing until I used this website [https://mouseypounds.github.io/stardew-checkup/](https://mouseypounds.github.io/stardew-checkup/) It showed me that the only thing missing was the Deluxe Scarecrow (and I forgot to get the Spirit’s Eve Rarecrow) so I waited three more seasons to get back to the event ![img](emote|t5_2wb7y|51695)it was great tho there’s a really cute credits/video preview of all achievements once u got there! Enjoyy

I’m literally a gold clock and 3 walnuts away from Perfection on my current Switch play through, I want to try and get perfection before 1.6 but that damn music cave 😭😭 The money is creeping up slowly but even recording the stupid cave, I can’t do it 🙈

    Probably cooking.

Usually my last is shipping every item, but cooking every recipe is far more annoying.

  9. the damn clock. i fucking hate money sinks i dont WANT to waste all my time grinding keg materials and then wine til i have enough

  10. I would not have done it without the Automate mod for filling kegs, To-Dew for island starfruit harvest dates, and the Stardew Save Info tool for finding prehistoric floors in the Skull Cavern.

  11. Just finished perfection for the first time! For me the worst part was the money grind for the golden clock. Everything else felt like a fun adventure (mostly because i’m not shy about using the wiki for help), but filling the game with kegs and sleeping/refilling the kegs over and t just felt soulless and boring.

  12. The Clock is so annoying, I don’t like to min max, but I’m just stuck in a money grab cycle right now. It’s the part where I usually abandon the save I just get so bored

  13. Maybe it’s recency bias, but probably the money needed to get the gold clock and the obelisks since those were the last ones I needed to farm for in my quest to perfection. I had already gotten all the walnuts long before I started the actual grind to perfection, and regarding recipes and crafting, I was fortunate enough to have the foresight to collect event-locked crafting recipes and watching queen of sauce. Plus as a huge hoarder gathering materials wasn’t too big of a problem.

But the time sink required to make money for the clock and obelisks was pretty brutal for me lol. Setting up an ancient fruit farm, grinding materials for kegs, waiting for the profits to come in general, it took me a pretty long time to get the money needed to buy the clock and given the fact I was also doing all the other perfection stuff at the same time, There’s a pretty big time difference between me doing the second last perfection objectives and me getting the obelisk+clock.
