Are you honestly asking every question that pops into your head here? Just pop duplicates in a chest, you may need them later. Just go with the flow and don’t overthink every small decision
The stardew valley wiki is crazy helpful. I didn’t use this during my first playthrough though, when I first started playing the game I saved everything I found in chests. Learning everything for the first time, I wanted to make sure things were on hand it case it was needed later for quests, gifts, or crafting.

I think the reason people post instead of looking the answer up is because they want as close to human interaction as possible. (Not exactly contact because its over the internet).
