Use Builder potions and the [Portable Cement Mixer](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Portable_Cement_Mixer) and its upgrades, ~~the wiki says the effects stack.~~ I misread that, it only stacks with the Builder potion. You can sleep on a bed so time moves faster and check when the traveling merchant moves in. You can also kill him and drop his hat on the shimmer to get an item that increases the amount of items he sells permanently.

Your arena does not need to be this big

your arena may be too big, unless you have jungle grass in the middle, plantera may aggro because it might be considered too far away from a jungle biome

I always love how ridiculous Plantera arenas are. Sometimes they are either just a hallway or big enough to make the jungle not even a jungle anymore.
