  1. It's an interesting forest biome, I just think we need some more diversified updates. First the Cherry Blossoms, then the Mangrove, now the Pale Garden. This may be due to their new update structure though, regardless, would love some more attention for places like the desert which feel sorely lacking in terms of attention

  2. It would be cool if they made the trees a little more distinct from the dark oak trees. perhaps to reflect the contorted and asymmetrical design of the creaking. Also I think they need to add a better reason to go to the biome at night

  3. I’m not digging it. And not because I don’t like it, more because 1.20.4 (to be really specific) is when the game felt just right for me personally. THANK you Mojang for keeping updates optional

  4. As a proof of concept I think this was a great showcase and the new wood types look fantastic! As everyone else has said the biome itself needs a little bit more. I think unique flowers and taller trees would really help because atm it's very dense (which helps reduce visibility, thats their goal) but it's still bare bones. No real reason to collect the heart at all and no real reason to go there other than the wood type.
All-in-all I hope they keep expanding on it and adding smaller little tweaks to help turn it into a proper biome that isn't just a reskinned dark oak biome with vines. Thicker fog, maybe make the creaking stalk the player instead of beelining it for them, etc. Looking forward to seeing what they'll do!

  5. I love the hanging moss, the moss that creeps on the floors and up the base of the trunk an and the pale wood. The creakings design is great and the mechanics could lead to quite the crazy escape if you find yourself surrounded by them. I hope that planting the trees elsewhere in the world will spread the creaking hearts thus spreading the pale gardens infection

  6. I really dont like this pale garden. It feels like a modded biome with a some wanky modded mob. Doesnt feel like minecraft at all. Also more grey? Don't we have enough grey blocks in minecraft already.
This all seems to just be an excuse to have white planks

  7. I feel like people are too greedy with the creeking they're releasing updates more often now stop whining about it and just let it be they hit the perfect balance of adding a feature thats unique and creative but doesn't fully feel like a mod.

  8. I would like to mention to EVERYONE, since many people don't know this, this is just the START of 2025's update, the creaking and everything with it will release at the earliest if no changes are made, around October, but more likely, if changes are made, it will release sometime around December or January. After this we will have a whole year of more content to look forward too, this is just a very SMALL part of this coming year's updates.

  9. if it's a Pale Garden, then maybe there should be a structure for the biome that is a sorta ruined garden, featuring unique bushes, flowers, and perhaps some new rare loot that the creeking mob would be protecting, and I agree with a lot of comments where there should be a fog for the biome, really up the creeps and low visibility aspects. This part is just a personal opinion, but maybe they could call the trees something else instead of it being another oak variant. I'm no tree expert but perhaps there's a plant to inspire the ones in the game? idk, definitely a lot of potential here, i hope they keep tinkering with this one

  10. I'm really disappointed… Not saying the creaking is bad or anything. This is the first time missing Minecraft live, and seeing what little they came out with… I'm kind of glad that I didn't watch it… The vote was really the huge part why I enjoyed watching it and they came out with much more finished ideas. This update just feels eh, not that exciting

  11. I think them doing small drop updates is a great idea and much better than the big bombastic updates that are actually a bit hollow and not that exciting in reality BUT they really should be releasing these updates as soon as they're revealed, I know they want feedback for stuff first before they implement it into the proper game but I feel at least an immediate snapshot of the new update for us to go and play as soon as the "mini minecraft live" ends it would be much more exciting if we could actually immediately go and play with the features
