Honestly I do prefer a big quality update once a year instead of a lot of smaller and less quality updates more often…
Iβm not one of the people whining and hating the update, Iβm mostly just happy to get another cool thing that I can imagine my own lore for (thatβs one of my favorite parts of Minecraft, thinking up cool stories for the mysterious things I come across), but I do think it would be really cool if they could add more to this biome later. I definitely would like to see it being more βgarden-likeβ with eerie looking flowers and possibly small structures that look like manmade gardens or even cemeteries.

Im just kind of upset about no other purpose for the CREAKING HEART block than to be a tree install sentry outside of your house or a defensive mob that would work great for mazes or arena contests like they did. Like no other purpose? Huh
I think the biome could get a exclusive structure! Maybe change the palen tree log to something different than a "dark oak variant".
But is good to remember than the pale garden is a BIOME, we have very few biomes that people actually care about outside of getting the wood.
So I don't think Jack Black's character is actually Steve. He was described as a big fan and veteran of the game, so I think much like the other characters who suddenly find themselves in a Minecraft world, Jack Black's character did as well a long time ago and, since he was a fan of the game, named himself Steve after the character model. Even going so far as to make his clothing look like Steve's. this would also explain why his beard looks a bit unruly, he's been there a long time. I'm excited for the movie, all of the creatures look derpy and I love that the world looks inspired by Minecraft but not exactly like Minecraft.
Also the Minecraft Experience thing in Dallas uses glowing cubes to interact with their game world, and there is a glowing cube that I suspect the Main Character in the movie will use at some point to interact with the world… I wonder if these two things are related.

I feel like the creators were watching a lot of Dr. Who episodes with the Weeping Angels when they decided to add the "creak". Looking forward to the white wood.
The Creaking is really interesting right now; it doesn't do much damage on its own, but having to keep your eye on it while dealing with other mobs can provide a unique challenge β it's like the Breeze in that way.
Still, I think it'd be cool if it had more specific synergy with other mobs (maybe it hates Ravagers because they can destroy leaves?). That way, it can fill a unique niche (like how the Armadillo scares away Spiders).
What i like is that the add differences to Mobs instead of just making new Versions of mobs they did something completly different adding a new type of mob mechanic
Second post after reading the comments: I am always amazed how many complain about a free upgrade to a $20.00+ game that they bought before, up to 15 years ago, that they've never had to shell out another cent for all the versions that keep it up to date.
They should make pale garden like as with the deep dark, no other mobs can spawn in there except the creeker and perhaps bats.
Quite a small update but I'm loving the vibe overall! Can't wait π

The enderman also acts like the creaking if you look at the enderman's eyes it will stand still but if you look away he starts chasing you.
Imagine if Jack Black wished death upon Kamala instead of Trump. He wouldnβt be Steve, thatβs for sure.
I wish they would have one more old format update before the new format so they can make the end update.

I like that you can silk touch the creaking heart and it retains its effect. I thought it'd be funny to take a skulk shrieker and put it in a friend's base as a prank, but only naturally generated shriekers work. But now with the creaking heart you can do essentially the same, so that's cool.
Creaking is going to become our base guard at night. You forgot to say that.
Something tells me this is gonna be a halloween update, I just feel it!

I think the pale garden could be a very interesting biome if implemented a bit differently. Like during Minecraft live they did say they made new creaking sounds for the pale garden to go alongside the new creaking mob it would be interesting if they made that the only sound you hear when your wondering through the pale garden. No music, no animals, not even the creepy cave noises, just the occasional creaking of the trees and your own footsteps and maybe even a dense fog to make it a little more eerie.
