There’s high risk and zero reward. I’ll just go around this biome if I find it. Anyone else?

  1. High risk? Just collect a sapling at day, and even at night it barely does any damage. It’s kind of tragic I agree

  2. makes sense , there might be a surprise, like a new item or effect, Minecraft never let us down so bad – except for the movie

  3. Does there need to be a reason? Can’t a place just be a new place? I feel like people focus too much on what something in the game can do for you rather than just enjoying them. This is why we don’t have fireflies; because they’d be “useless” 💀just enjoy new wood to craft with and a new mob that looks cool : )

  4. Your rite, just chop a tree until you get a sapling then leave. the wood is literally the only good thing about the new place.

You know what. If every biome is soo useless. Lets remove every boime untill there are only the biomes in the version 1.0

The purpose of it is that it’s an Overworld biome that we now have a creepy atmosphere above the surface like how we have a biome with a creepy atmosphere (the Deep Dark) in the caves. Not every new update has to have a use like an item for a new weapon or something.

  7. There should be some kind of new structure, like a ruin or smth

With the update a few months out, there’s tons of time for mojang to change stuff based on community feedback. Hopefully they listen

  8. Everyone saying it doesn’t need a use:
Of course it doesn’t, but without one it adds very little value and is just that thing you occasionally stumble across and having a special mob that literally has no value is frankly stupid

  9. I think they should make the biome bigger and make the creaking deal more damage. That way it presents itself as on obstacle when traveling, a risky area that you need to go through but must get through as quick as possible. I do agree though it feels unfinished rn (bc it’s an mc live announcement, there isn’t going to be much, I have faith they’ll add more to it) and could do with pretty much any more content. Small environmental mobs that drop something even remotely useful, structures, further unique building or functionality blocks or just something to add some level of reward or uniqueness making you want to roll the dice by going into it. I understand cosmetic biomes do exist but the difference is that this biome has risk added into it and as a result should have some reward: the redstoners and builders kind of have one so the survivalist should have one too.

  10. High risk? These twigs barely do as much damage as a zombie.

Also white wood is imo very worth the journey to me and the fact that the biome has an entirely different vibe to anything else in the overworld makes me want to make a base there

  11. Anyone wish that the trees would be pale purple, or at least the leaves💔💔 the muddy green is kind of ugly imo

  12. I think people miss one point. The footage shown on Live was (presumably) may represent features not in the same way as in release version. I certain that during the snapshot cycle they will tweak things here and there, and quite possible even add new stuff that wasn’t announced. Of course, would be cool if they could show us more, but so on i don’t have any complains.

  13. I mean, that’s just what a majority of biomes are tbh. You already know what you want when you get there. I’d honestly treat it just like any other biome, just grab the saplings and grab the wood (and the moss) then leave and do more farming for wood at my own area. That’s just what biomes are.

There’s not really an incensive to explore like the other biomes. You just go in there, find it very cool and fun then think if it’d be nice to make something in there. There’s not really an incensive to explore a spruce, dark oak, or Cherry biome when you can get what you need at the edge.
