Obviating the obvious torn roof, broken windows and overgrown walls. What else might make this look like an abandoned church?

  2. Using stone stairs and cobble stone mixed in to the walls could make it look like its crumbling and that some bricks have fallen out! Cobwebs help in certain spots.

Using Dark Oak fences and Mangrove Roots can help make some dead tress around it. Depending on how delapitated it to, you could take the spire and put it on the ground, make it look like its collapsed from weight.

Moss and mossy cobblestone are always great miexd to make it look like its bit overgroan, show its age how long its been there. when you add glass, leave a few panes missing, liek they’ve been shattered or someone tried to break in at some point.

Take out small part and spread some debris around, like the walls collapsed. Using references from google can help with the type of vibe your going for.
