I'm playing melee class on master mode, I've been using warding since Eye of cthulu but now I'm starting to reconsider changing it to menacing. I'm a mobile player and my hands get sweaty really fast so sometimes I find it difficult to dodge but I've heard people say defense is useless in Terraria so now I'm considering on getting menacing. Should I?

Whoever told you that Defense in terraria is useless is a fraud, Warding may just be the single best modifier you can have on your accessories. Stick with Warding. If you need more convincing, watch Sorbetcafe’s video about defense on youtube.
if you are a god at dodging then go menacing and also replace the starviel with fire gauntlets but McRumble does have a good point if your not good with dashing

Good god, you can tank plantera in 30 secs with the right setup. Literally just stand there and defeat her if you wanted to.
