Try more colorful roofing (for example: purple, green, yellow), and make the roofs sloped on both sides instead of a straight diagonal line. You can also add bushes and plants to make it a lil more fantastical

Maybe try and make some sort of purple crystals jutting out of the top of the tower?
Some grass around it would probably help, maybe a tree growing out of the side of the cottage
