I, for some reason, can’t destroy some crystal shards. As you can see, it shows on the map but is not visible when I go to the spot where it should be. I didn’t find anything online so I’m trying here.

the border extends just a little bit out over where you can actually go, but you might be able to still get it if you used the smart cursor.
Crystal shards are part of the hallow biome, which I’m assuming you know, but they can’t spread any hallow, if that’s what you were worried about, and don’t contribute to any infection that might keep you from getting the “and good riddance” achievement of cleaning the entire world of any hallow and corruption/crimson
