Honestly just go to.
Select your platform.
Go into the settings and tell it which biomes and structures you want near spawn the spawn
It's very effective.
If you want a coastal village, just select an ocean type and village, boom!
If you want a village on a mountain side, same deal. Mountain type + village, boom!
Want a variety of biomes, just select 500 (or more) blocks and the biomes you want.
