How about we stop building medival village and start building dystopian city where big brother is watching and where are many factories and sky is grey.

Build that ring into the mountain, put in a window if possible, and have your base be a dollhouse-style build where all of the rooms are visible from that big window and fit within/completely fill out the circular shape.
