I think so, but they haven’t changed it in game, it just says Minecraft unlike Java, it feels like they’re favouring Bedrock over Java sometimes, maybe it’s just me.

Not in release. Click on the “What’s New” tab. It was changed in a recent beta build of the launcher and is now in the stable release version. Under Features & Improvements:
> * Minecraft for Windows? Oh, that’s Bedrock. The Launcher now calls that “Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.”
