I’m a comfy gamer. Usually I like just the building part of Minecraft, but I wanna try getting into the other part of Minecraft (like defeating the enderdragon and such). However I’m not really educated in enchants and how good they are. I was wondering if these are any good? Any advice would be great too. 🙂 Ty in advance.

also why are you asking the modded reddit about how vanilla style enchants work? thats dumb. just use the wiki.

Smite gives a damage boost when attacking undead mobs, the enchant cannot be used at the same time as Sharpness enchant. https://minecraft.wiki/w/Smite

Smite is an enchantment that makes you more powerful against anything undead (Very good for a Wither fight). The highest stage is 5, so 4 is pretty good.
That said, against other mobs, you weapon won’t see an increase in strength.
Sharpness will increase your damage against anything, but it’s overall effect is slightly weaker. So you can choose to be strong against everything, or very strong against a certain mobs.
On my swords, I usually go for sharpness as it’s the most convenient.
Unbreaking makes your tool last longer. Every level of it adds a chance not to lose durability when performing an action. 3 is the highest.
