I thought creepers were supposed to be afraid of cats?
Luckily no kitties were killed in the blast. I was messing around to see how much a creeper would pursue me through a bunch of cats. I guess I found a very determined creeper!
They are but if they feel like they can’t escape they will explode the cat

you can very clearly see it running away multiple times
at the end it just kind of gave up (and you were in blast radius) though

When it walked down the hill, it managed to follow you for a while since the block next to the cat obstructed the line of sight between creeper and cat.
When it walked up the stairs, the issue is the 6-block detection radius. By the time it even realized there were cats, running away from the first cat meant it ran close to the next cat. It then ended up close enough for you to be in the blast radius, thus stopping it completely.

I’ve had “cat was blown up by creeper” messages a few times. Perhaps some creepers are short sighted?
Didn’t it run away from the first one? Or was that just it moving away for a different reason or something
