Sell this idea to mincraft ! Minecraft version of pokemon or Zelda. Could create an awesome storyline. Go on quest and try to save the world from being blown up by the wither. It could be a prequel to minecraft, where minecraft shows you what's left after the withers destruction. That could explain the few and far in between villages.
