Making a grand entrance!
Based on in-game logic, I suppose he could have been on fire, and timed his fancy gesture for right when the fire ran out. Or maybe he threw a splash water bottle or something that we don’t see.
[Edit;] Of course, now that I say that, it looks like he’s just punching the fires out behind his back.
[Edit 2;] Nevermind. See the comment by u/BlueBunnex above. Those are definitely some burning mobs.

I do believe those are zombies burning in the sun but it appears he may have just woken up to pass the night and that’s why the zombies were even there and burning. At least that’s my theory anyway. Either that or he died and respond as the zombies were burning up and dying.OOOORRR he ran to the top of wherever they are all standing to see if they needed help and jump down right as the zombies were burning and dying.
