  1. Holy $#!t that's a big change to pearls

Might annoy the speedrunners (if they ever get off 1.16.1), but that's an effortless chunk loader (so long as you're online) and a super powerful pearl cannon.

The big one I'm thinking about is that you should be able to detect the pearl unloading when you leave the game, then have that trigger a teleport when you get back online. I could see that being used when you're in danger on a hardcore world, or just need to travel thousands+ blocks back and forth a few times. Extra points if you can make it require a specific number of unloads.

  2. ender pearl portal hub is a dope redstone contraption.

bubble collum enderpeal could be used to show which players are online, and when they logout, so a logout detector cool, alhough now ender pearls will always destroy themselves when a player dies anywhere in the world.

  3. I absolutely love the fact that Mojang is making changes like this to resource packs. The first instance of this being shown was in 1.20.2 when they made most of the gui textures separate. Before 1.20.2, if you wanted to make a resource pack that makes fire green, you would have to change the entire furnace texture for just the flame in it to be green, causing it to not work with other resource packs that also change the furnace texture, but with small changes to things like this make it so much better for someone who wants to use multiple packs at once.

  4. I'm glad elytra and chest plates can't be used together. I wanted it way back when elytra first came out but now I think it's more fun to have to choose between protection or flight.
It also allows you to do tricks with the mace now like switch mid air to chest plate and ground pound someone with your mace.

  5. I really hope they don't revert that ender pearl chunk loading thing, because that means you can build a farm anywhere and keep it loaded without having to build the complex nether portal loader.

  6. I feel kinda iffy about the ender pearl chunkloader thing. I wouldn't want my contraptions to depend on one particular user being logged on?

  7. They actually did give a reason why they reverted changes for mob data. If health was passed to a converted zombie villager, the zombie villager would have 0 health and die instantly

  8. The ender pearl chunk loading is cool and all, but why is nobody freaking out about these GUI changes?! Vanilla is feeling more and more modded by the day, eventually we'll be able to make something that FEELS like a mod but completely vanilla!

  9. Here is my conspiracy theory:
Microsoft and Mojang are giving players much more freedom over developmental features (tags, UI, etc.) to allow datapacks to act more like mods – but not quite as powerful. In the next few years, Microsoft will make it much harder to add free mods to your game in order to promote minecoin products. If they making data packs more powerful now, many smaller mods will be able to use the native features so only larger mods (sold via the minecoin shop) will have any significant impact on the game, therefore increasing sales by forcing players to buy mods.

  10. 2:54 The reason those field are now excluded is to fix a few bugs, one where a villager zombifying would just die, and one where a converted mob drops its old loot table
