This was inspired by the fact that most people I play the game with have this almost pavlovian response where they start complaining about the mob vote every time they see a sniffer in any context. Personally I dont mind the sniffer (though I was never really a fan of the mob vote), its just the discussion about the mob vote became more obnoxious than the event itself ever was imo. Anyway thats all, more comics soon.

Ahh the sniffer. Hard to get. Gives you two decorative plants that aren’t all that great
Frogs? Alright to get, give you a really good looking lightsource. Foxes? Ambience, don’t have to go out of your way to interact with them (and some use for farms I think?)
The sniffer has just been the most useless mobvote mob. Like it if you will, but if it isn’t ambient like the bat or useful like the frog, why did it need to be added? Give it some more plants to dig up…

The sniffer doesn’t feel like Minecraft to me, I like everything else Mojang has added so far. It just feels kind of out of place, like it came from a mod.

I’ve gone into it in detail before and don’t feel like doing it again right now but the sniffer adds almost nothing to the game (literally) and serves no purpose besides standing there and occasionally being sorta cute.
