I’m on expert, I’ve killed queen slime but mech bosses are giving me the runaround aside from potions what do I need / could get to better my odds?[sorry for shitty photos]
Get a ranger hat and accessories to complement the Daedalus, get a nice stash of Jester Arrows and shred the Destroyer with that. Try to make him jump vertically and then make the shots go through his entire body. As long as you don’t forget to deal with the probes (boosting your defence helps a ton against them) it should be easy. Then you can use the drops for the other bosses. A Megashark made with the Souls of Might from the Destroyer tends to make short work of them

Try to get the Drippler Crippler is an amazing melee weapon, you can get it by fishing a Blood Eal during the Blood Moon.

Are you using potions and food for buffs? Do you have an arena with campfire, heart lantern, and Bast statue? I just went through this section of the game as a Summoner for the first time and those things made a large difference.

Swap out the magic luminescence with something else. You already can reach top speed by dashing with your shield. Also upgrade your weapons. Get something like the drippler crippler, or Shadow Flame Knife.

You could try fishing for some powerfull weapons. Marine life does get a bit quirky under blood moon, but the struggle is worth, the loot includes a decent flail and one of the best summons in the game.
If you’d rather spend the event doing anything else to take a break from fishing, using that truffle worm of yours as bait could yield different, some would say “progression breaking” rewards, no matter the class. You just have to know where to cast the line…

Have you got all your accessories warding or menacing? And are all the weapon reforges the best? It can make a huge difference.
