I decided to design a door like the one in the picture. At first it seemed very simple. But it didn't work from both sides. So I placed a dropper on the pressure plate on the working side. But the door didn't close again because of the items falling on the plate from the dropper. My first redstone experience and I'm about to go mad.

Maybe use a different type of pressure plate, I’m not sure if it starts at stone but most plates will not activate with an item on top compared to wood
