I do love shane..

Sam: I would like a cute girl to bring me Eel (^_-)
AKA
Someone peg me
One thing to note about the tax situation is lewis is clearly stealing from it since he builds a gold statue of himself and other evidence
Shane will always be the best husbanddddd
Even Wizard is seeking an apprentice. This town needs new people asap
Okay, so we know that mayor Lewis said that he was the one that was picking up the things that we sell. I believe that there is a hidden benefactor involved and I think that it is Mr. Qi, and that he is the one with all the money that we get. Everyone else prospers through us the farmer based on what we do. I think that in an alternate future timeline if we the farmer never showed up to inherit Grandpa's farm, then the whole town would have eventually foreclosed and be bought up as real estate to Joja Co. Somehow, Grandpa and Mr. Qi knew that this could happen and we the farmer had been tested to see how far we could go to make a change to not just the town but the whole community.
i like the theory that we are there from the government to investigate mayor lewis. think about it he has the money to make a gold statue but cant fix the community center or the bus to the desert? also the museum had everything "stolen" but we dont hear anything about going after them. maybe thats a cover story. also think about how much money you spend in town and still nothing gets done or even talked about they have money from taxes to spare.
goblin dat lore
Why Shane? 😭 /lh
There is also one more person that can move to the town in the late game – although it's only just thanks to the Farmer
So we can save Pelican Town in 5 easy steps?
1) Marry Shane
2) Restore Community Center
3) Become Mayor
4) Pay Robin build some more buildings, for businesses and living spaces
5) Turn Pelican Town into mental health retreat. It is for the most part isolated, and everyone in town can contribute with their businesses/hobbies. It would also be known for therapy/emotional support chickens.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the abandoned house Hat Mouse takes over.
The farm and cabin by Marnie's place were also vacant until very recently.
With how small Pelican town is i doubt there's enough tax money to get anything going there's like six businesses? the grocers, the clinic, Robins carpentry, Clints smithy, the bar, and the fishery and they're all struggling to make ends meet (not to mention Lewis building a gold statue of himself but maybe that comes from gold from the mines? or possibly a gift from Marnie since the statue can end up at her house if you place it in town) most of their money probably comes from the fact that they're a tourist destination with the various festivals and probably government checks, which is probably why Mayor Lewis trys so hard to impress the governer in hopes they'll get some money for the town. On the other hand, a lot of money leaves the towns economy Joja hires one guy who lives in town and the rest of their profits is going back to the corporation and the night market that comes through takes that money with them when they leave. it isn't put back into the economy
So yeah Pelican towns done for EXCEPT
in comes the farmer that's inherited enough land to cover half the town who becomes a big spender at all theses business they need seeds to plant crops that go right to that grocer, they need their tools worked on, their house fixed up, they need medical care if they overwork themselves in the field, and they fish as a hobby, and drink with their friends in the evenings and every year they turn profit after profit putting that money back into the economy every gold the farmer makes doesn't leave pelican town (unless you go the joja route or pop in on the night market)
"Meowdy yall" instant like
Ok the end definitely made me laugh, even though I am Team Sebby all the way
If Pierre and Lewis continue to rule the city, it will certainly be doomed
This video got me thinking about the town's population that could make an interesting video, maybe? I'm curious what Pelican Town was like back in the day when out grandfather was still alive. Do we have much lore about previous people who lived there and why they left, was the lack of people and town funds what caused the community center to fall apart? Then something happened that caused quite a few people to move to Pelican Town somewhat recently into the old residents' houses. Elliot moved in a year before us and I think Leah moved in close to the same time as well. Jody's family moved here from the city (and Kent comes back from war), Alex moved in with his grandparents, Pierre's family moved into the house/store(?) that the previous owner had a shrine in, Joja (if you count that), and Linus moves around/travels a lot. A maybe could be Robin's family since she built their current house, they could have lived in another house in town and when she married she needed more room so yay! a new woodworking project of an entire house! Lewis, Evelyn, and George we know have been there for a long time. No idea about the other characters.
a fellow shane enjoyer
Very epic video as always. I do wonder that if the joja company kept expanding if it would actually start creating jobs. Not in a community empowering sort of way but in the desperation kind. Like with the community center becoming a warehouse that could potentially bring in more work and possibly people who travel for work. It would however kill a huge amount of jobs that had already existed there( like pierres shop, willys fishing shop, etc), and push out the creatives that had moved there for inspiration in their work with all that added pollution. I think the town would still end up 'dying' but in a sense that it loses its identity and becomes just a mass warehouse city, like those giant amazon buildings.
Shane train yippieeee
If the farmer doesn't change things:
– Haley leaves town to marry a guy for his money
– Shane kills himself
– Joja drives Pierre's business into the ground, meaning he has to take Shane's old job for the same pay
– Abigail leaves town with whatever money Pierre and Caroline can pool together for her.
– George and Evelyn die (that was going to happen anyway)
– When Marlon dies, the monsters eat everyone else.
– One of the monsters chips a tooth trying to eat Lewis' statue.
Pierre is a Gotorian spy
Im late but these lore videos are so interesting. Hope you have plenty more to make!
Bro, someone needs to get rid of Louis like girl. What are you doing? “ isn’t it sad that all the infrastructure is failing😔😔” my brother in Christ fixing the infrastructure is dead ass your job this is literally your fault.
Id like an actual MARRY SHANE to save pelican town video please
Evangelize that love of shane. He needs more people who understand why he's a sweetie.
I just married him again the other day xD I spent the game speed running to the deluxe barn so I could get nice clothes made for the wedding.
It was pretty nice.
That first kiss with Shane at the game will never not be sweet. I just wish there were more options for dating, like imagine if we could get our own console version of journey of the prairie King and play video games with him like we do in that heart of that with Abigail. Actually, more of that. That was really fun.
Or even just invite him to come fishing with us and unique dialogue to go along with it. Or go on vacation with him at the farm on ginger island rather than just have him show up at the resort. I want my husbando to see my Ginger Island farm.
