Yeah anyone who’s seen a red LED through a camera knows that it tints yellow where it’s brighter. I’m not a fan of the single-hue flat look even from an artistic point of view either.

No I don’t just want it to be a torch with a red cube around it I want it to be different. The center sticks out too much in the red cube with the yellow/orange.

Who says the redston torch is an led? Red laser diodes have a white bright spot.

I don’t like it solely because it (like the old texture) looks like a coal/charcoal torch with a red outline. It isn’t made with the same materials, it’s made with redstone, basically a “magic” mineral.

It’s so funny watching people whip out their real life logic and evidence and are critiquing a fantasy world game made out of blocks for their game not being realistic,
Meanwhile they are dropping 80 blocks into 4L of water and negating all fall damage while escaping zombies, but that makes sense I guess.

nah just make it a richer red like the redstone block or active redstone dust.
