Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here. As the title suggests, my poor three-legged cat Bonkie passed away yesterday at only 8 years old, and it's been quite difficult ๐Ÿ™ He has always been there for me during some difficult times in my life, and I would love to honour him in my minecraft world. Now I know how to make a custom skin for cats in minecraft by just changing the texture in the files, but that would make every instance of that cat be like Bonkie, and there is only one Bonkie.

Is there a way that I could make a custom cat skin, with the back left leg missing, that could only show up once? Is it possible to maybe create a datapack or something that makes it so when I name a cat "Bonkie" it turns into my three-legged friend? I have a bit of experience with programming, just not anything minecraft related. If anyone could steer me in the right direction, that would be amazing, many thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Maybe you could change the files of โ€œdinnerboneโ€(I donโ€™t know how if I wrote it right) to keep the mob stand straight up and change how the mob looks (I donโ€™t have any experience with coding so I donโ€™t know if it works) and I am sorry for your loss I lost two of my favorite cats too

  2. Isnโ€™t there a cat name Easter egg? You could probably change the files to make that it changes when named Bonkie and change the file? I have no experience with this.

  3. thereโ€™s mods for entity custom models and textures – i know Optifine and Entity Texture Features can probably do this – but vanilla has basically no support for this sort of thing
