Enchanting and the whole XP system need an overhaul.
Wow I never knew Minecraft's old enchantment system what's this broken I wasn't playing Minecraft at that time but I'm just glad they fixed it before I started actually playing the game because if it was like that today I wouldn't even play Minecraft at all TBH

Hot take, as someone who doesn't care about optimizing my gameplay in minecraft, I enjoyed old enchanting over modern enchanting, the random aspect fit well for such powerfull mechanics and made the game harder if u didn't really care to grind for better enchantments.

i remember the time before this came out we were very hyped and then…. well it was a mess and i never touched enchanting again for over 10 years untill recently

bro minecraft pvp sucks is a complete skibidi toilet no brain using combat… i doubt a minecraft only pvp player would think if they try fighting games/ hard games like brawlhalla or elden ring hollow knight, where weapons have hitboxes and recover time on miss, what means spamming right click will get you defeated very easily… i mean minecraft pvp is just spamming Rclick while looking to something, the attacks don't have a hitbox is you aiming or looking to someone and clicking fast while in range, imagine if you cud harm someone with the power of your vision(no weapon / physical/ collision needed) + minecraft has become ultra ez to prevent kiddos crying, the ones that removed ghast spawning in soul sand valley, minecraft beta every enemy was a boss fight where you would need to take them preferably one at time, and get to it preferably without them noticing you, stealthy was very need to survive especially against skeletons, times where every enemy was a big threat, and life regen was limited to food that didn't stack, that times, the peak survival experience times

Guys I think he might've made a few mistakes much bigger and more hateful than this
Use these mods:
– Fixed Anvil Repair Cost –
Makes some changes to the anvil.
You can set how many levels a repair should cost, forever, the cost does not increase.
It's also possible to set the amount of materials needed for a repair and how much percent an item should be repaired by an action.
– Grind Enchantments –
adds a few new features to the grindstone.
You can put an enchanted item and a book into the grindstone, and you will get the enchantments onto the book (and your unenchanted item back).
If you put an enchanted book into the top slot and an empty (or also already enchanted) book into the bottom slot of the grindstone, the enchantment at the top of the first book will be put onto the other book.
This is useful if you have a book that has enchantments for different types of items (for example, a book with Efficiency and Protection), so you can separate them.
(Lastly, if you guys have good mods fixing some aspects of the enchanting and repairing system, please share!)
I can remember being pissed off about them changing the enchantments at first… but I quickly changed my mind, lol (I was in a phase of "the more difficult and tedious something is the better because of the feeling of accomplishing it") – wound up getting really good at some shitty games though during that time, lol

I Remember how Grinding based was enchanting in older minecraft versions
i stopped caring about enchanting tables when the slave and shave update came out
Funny how now we seem to have the opposite issue. Enchants are almost too easy and common nowadays lol
