  1. Honestly at this point the bundle would be so much better if it was an item like armor you put it in a slot and it adds a bar to your inventory I think people would be a lot happier with that

  2. The speed of mine-carts needs to be faster than elytra. It should be for travel between two frequently visited points which needs infrastructure set up. The problem is we already have boats on ice for that.

  3. Locationality is honestly better in those random cases imo (bedrock casual redstone user). Afaik, random update order is never useful for an actual function – there's plenty of other ways to flip a coin. What it does do is clearly communicate to the player that there's no predetermined outcome here and you shouldn't build redstone like this. That's better game design. Yes, it's bad game design to allow something to happen for completely hidden, complicated reasons that people are bound to get seriously annoyed at when thigs mysteriously don't work. But, once people DO figure the reason out, as technical redstoners are very capable of doing, having the behaviour be deterministic means that people can make useful, cool stuff using it, even if those builds are stupidly location-specific.
Once you've learnt about locationality, you can know to avoid it entirely, just the same as if it were random, or you can choose to use it like a madman. With random behaviour, the more casual players learn to avoid it more quickly, but the advanced players miss out on the wacky complicated stuff. And as a casual redstoner who aspires to be more technical, I personally don't mind the frustration, if it means I also get to see others do wildly cool, complicated and pointless stuff.

I think the changes they're working on have removed a bunch of the old cases where locationality was a thing (not that I'd know) and I'm not fighting to get those back (yet), just arguing that for those leftover cases where they've resorted to randomness, stupid and confusing but deterministic behaviour would be way cooler.

  4. Does the ore change affect light level at all, or is it just visual? The minecart stuff was hilarious, btw. I'll be happy to see the minecart changes, rail can be fun, and may worlds interesting.

  5. Have you tested whether or not bundles with items in them can be placed into shulker boxes or not? although I guess since they already hold 64 items it's basically only useful as a misc holder or whatever

  6. I think with Redstone dust, Mojang should have it so you can right click it to change its orientation. For example, if a line of Redstone dust is going past a piston on the left and a lamp on the right, you can right click the dust to connect to either the piston or the lamp or neither. That would simplify Redstone greatly and make some Redstone systems much easier to build. If I remember correctly, some of the older mods may have had that function available, but I could be incorrect.

  7. Oh my God they did it. They gave Minecarts back their actual good physics. And the automatic camera rotation is something Iโ€™ve wanted for ages. Also with speed, I think they should be faster by default, but have a type of rail that can be calibrated to change the speed of any minecarts on it

  8. this is amazing !!!! i love the parity changes they re making where theyre actually adding things from bedrock to java instead of removing them – i love these so much

  9. 5:26 This is an awful, awful change. The idea of update order cascading along a redstone line is fine and makes intuitive sense, but having one of the most basic building blocks of redstone behave in a random way, especially when redstone has always been deterministic is just a horrible idea, and antithetical to their stated goal of making fhe the update order more consistent. This change turns highly technical builds that work consistently, at the expense of sometimes being directional or rotationally dependant, into builds that just don't work in any circumstance.

  10. while i agree with randomness being easier to understand than hyper specific behaviours like sub chunk update orders, i really disagree with the removal of directionality.

there's already blocks in the game which can help with orientation like the sunflower and of course just looking at the sky will let you know east and west by the sun/moon.

  11. I was so excited for bundles to finally be here & make rabbit hide useful (I like rabbits in real life & in Minecraft), so of course they had to mess them up now. Oh well, Iโ€™m glad theyโ€™re finally coming to the game!

  12. I was literally just watching Mumboโ€™s newest video and looking at his and Cubโ€™s death messages as they were using the mace on eachother and I thought โ€œthis should really say โ€œsmashed byโ€ as opposed to โ€œslain byโ€โ€

  13. The bundle indicator could be better as the background of the item selector. I believe that this reduce the useless space wasted and make space for more visual view of the blocks like, for example: a row or 2 rows increasingly smaller of the other blocks in you have in the bundle (maybe having all 64 visible at all times without compromising space in rows as: 4, 4, 8 (half the size), 16(a quarter of the size). Or maybe just one above where is are the most far away items (a row of 8) and 2 rows of 8 down (or one of 16 and all can be changed upside down (maybe for best)).

  14. 1. bundle keys overlaps with hotbar keys and it's so annoying if you use switching for management, i use hotbars to switch items around, this is too annoying for me, the old bundles works good already

    2. you cant even number press everything in the bundle cuz it's just limited to 4, But Can SCRoLL it? not intuitive,

    3. the segmentation is also not intuitive with how dynamic it is as suppose to be just counting left to right in one line like the normal hotbar

    4. the gui has to tell you "[Empty]" for you to know it's empty, the old bundle it just shows you

    5. the gui doesnt feel like it's an inventory but a tooltip data, they removed the look that was good for the old bundle, you cant see everything now, it tells you the count aswell and that count overlapse on the last slot which looks so weird

    6. bundle item switching, its used to clear one item to another bundle to you can access the one you want deep in it without cluttering your inventory.

now you have to press left click and right click and leftclick and rightclick again and again, that sounds intuitive in paper but in practice, the old bundle had it so better,

item switching needs to be just right click, it's a repetitive motion and with this you will never accidentally grab a bundle because you wont fail that motion, item switching wasnt intended but it's also just an emergent feature that was fun to explain to people and hear them just switch items from bundle to bundle like theyre doing archeology on their inventory

    7. items showing in bundle is so bad. you will never rely on it because it just shows up when youre hovering to it and already have to pay too much attention on the annoying tooltip section anyway, it's just another visual thing that's more distracting than useful, it's also just doesnt look good, having 3d item appear on a 2d one looks too uncanny

    8. none of the new features is a smart addition, some overlaps with existing ones, it's more finicky to use, the ui is a downgrade, the items visual aswell is a downgrade.

the old bundle was good, the backlash for it is that people was associating it to an extra inventory when it's not, and they couldnt test it for themselves either because its too hard to obtain in the game

that's why it wasnt liked by the general public, The ones that Actually get to use it to **LOVEs IT** and the most things they want is to make it easily obtainable and to be able to add colors to it so they can easily distinct it, they even mod it in ffs. we just want it out of the experimental for this whole 4 years, none of these new features justify existence

  15. Us loosing loom functionality because Bedrock is a bit stupid. Why not make Bedrock better rather than Java worse? Doesn't fill me with confidence of all the other ways Java is better being retained.
