“Nameless Deity is the hardest boss.”

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Nameless Deity, but he’s not that hard compared to the real big dawgs.

  1. To be perfectly clear, the boss was never designed to be unimaginably difficult. He's moreso just a spectacle.
Truthfully, I don't find working with extreme difficulty as a designer all that enjoyable anymore. I'd rather just make things that are moderately difficult for someone who isn't stellar at the game (as should be standard for a boss as a baseline, naturally) for the sake of mechanical accessibility.

    Except GFB. GFB is comedy

  2. The boss isn’t even really that hard, it’s flashy, and cool, and also very exciting to fight, it in fact is oddly enough the one boss I can fight without ANY lag, but it isn’t hard

  3. we are the most powerful being in the terraria universe because we can deal the most damage output out of all the bosses with the right amount of buffs, accessories, armor and weapons

  4. The galaxy attack was possible on gfb but not full legendary difficulty by using the funny ice rod cheese.

However, Dom butchered that cheese which was the only way to survive it(lasts almost 2 minutes)

  5. I first tried nameless deity on my true melee infernum run after my ridiculous 13 attempt infernum scal run, hes honestly easier then infernum crabulon or infernum eater of worlds 💀

  6. the difficulty of nameless deity comes from my pc struggling to process his 5 million special effects

as well as the funny attack he does where he inflicts a migrane debuff on me irl

  7. Well, with all that, that’s why I plan to overbuff nameless in a modpack I’m making by enabling a bunch of mods like Fargos hyper mode, duplicate projectiles mod, boss life steal, etc. (I’m only enabling those mods once I get to nameless)
Nameless is too easy compared to Infernum Exo mechs, Infernum Scal, Masochist Mutant and Exodygen
    So, yeah

  8. So
I guess Nameless Deity isn't made to be a extremely difficult boss
He's likely just your average final final FINAL boss that's just extremely cinema bullcrap so you feel your game ended or something
Which honestly i find it better than just being hard for the sake of being hard

  9. Having watched this video I have to agree 100%. If someone were to rework nameless, they would have to include a lot more difficulty in order to really emphasize the whole 'final test' ordeal, otherwise I would easily beat him despite the fact that I just tried out PC Terraria. A good example of difficulty would be ethereal lances that are not indicated, which would change a lot of things. Maybe even invent a whole new type of attack. Otherwise it wouldn't really be a 'final test'.

  10. Another thing: I mostly play Vanilla, and I'm not much of a nohitter (I've only ever nohit Pre-hardmode bosses in Classic mode) and I still managed to beat him very easily with a tank build that takes ~5 minutes to kill him, and now I'm stuck trying to beat the GetFixedBoi variant in an Expert GetFixedBoi world. (The game lists it as Master, but I call it Expert because I chose Expert on world generation)

I took Brutus's build and made a few modifications, swapping out the Endogenesis and Temporal Umbrella for a Brittle Star staff for the Defense boost, and using Chalice of the Blood God for the max health and reduced potion cooldown. My build has over 420 Defense, so most of his attacks hit like a wet noodle, but the one time I tried to beat him, he ended up slowly but surely wearing my life bar down with a few nigh-undodgeable attacks that actually manage to make a dent.
