More “Useless” Minecraft Features

Minecraft has a lot of completely useless features. While some people may brush these features off as a waste of time for the developers of the game to create, I personally have always loved these features. Lots of these mobs and items can be a fun challenge to collect, and others I simply think are just cool. In this video, I detail some of more my favorite useless Minecraft features. How to get them, what they do, and why they’re cool. I hope you all enjoy, and feel free to check out part 1 if you haven’t already.

  1. I think foxes should have a rare chance of spawning hostile, but only attack once but will give the player persistent wither effect, mirroring rabies. Because foxes are common hosts of rabies. I think Mojang could raise awareness about rabies because just imagine if a child takes a fox home and that fox has rabies and it bites the child, giving them rabies, a really deadly disease.

  2. if you want minecraft to be a real challenge that shows EVERY single mechanic in the game, i truly recommend installing blazeandcave's adnvancements datapack. it adds +1000 advancements with varying difficulty that gets you through pretty much every aspect and feature of the game! it's super fun

  3. Personally I like just jumping into a random world, doing some exploring and laughing as I die repeatedly at my own hands. There are so many things I don't ever achieve in the game but it's still my favorite game and honestly speed running minecraft seems to defeat the purpose of it when you really think about it. It's a game that gives you random infinitely generating worlds and incorporates many game mechanics to immerse yourself with, just because you can find a way to "beat the game" the fastest doesn't make you the best minecraft player. People need to learn to have fun with it again, no one player is better than another when it comes to this game, get over it, it's like bragging you're the best goat simulator player.

  4. I actually just recently been playing around with llamas
I found it very funny to move around with like 20 caravans lol😂
Even tho it would like broke the lead almost immediately, it still funny to bring a whole army of llama to my friend😂

  5. I did not know foxes were so useful till recently. Been building alot of aJackMinecrafts’s aesthetic farms and their ability to pick up items is so useful! They can hold looting 3 swords and kill chickens or simply collect glow berries for you. It’s also cool just watching them collect food to eat. In my underground trading hall I have a mini taiga biome built into the floor with a glass roof so I can watch the foxes go around and collect berries to eat.

  6. One thing piercing is good for is recycling arrows. Since when a mob is hit by an arrow, the arrow is gone, piercing allows you to have a pseudo-infinity crossbow, since the arrows you shoot at mobs go through them. Another thing is tipped arrows, since with piercing you can infinitely reuse the same tipped arrow, which a lot more cost efficient for curing zombie villagers with weakness arrows, as you can cure 4 at once and get the arrow back to do it again later.

  7. Even though this is even more useless, I would’ve loved frigs eating goats to end up being an actual feature. It would show that Minecraft is a game, and it diesn’t have to be realistic to real life for it to be good.

  8. I only rush to the end ao i can use the stuff in the end and since i use controller it gives me a challenge and i like building.

  9. 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗯𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗴𝘂𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗻.

  10. See, you get it. Minecraft is a game you can play in so many ways, and if you're not having fun going fast… Slow down. All these extra features make the game feel more alive, and that's what I love about it

  11. The majority of players wouldn't have an issue with these additions if they weren't like 90% of the content in updates. This has been a problem since Notch was the sole developer of Minecraft. The Secret Friday Updates were the biggest example of it. However, when you release updates every couple of months that feel like expanded Secret Friday Updates people aren't gonna be happy. It's obviously fun to explore a brand new expanded Nether Dimension the first couple of times, but after that you're just gonna look for a Nether Fortress to get blaze rods. Mojang can add new toys and areas to the sandbox all they want. However, when the end goal of that sandbox is still the same poorly designed Ender Dragon fight which can be handled with the same tools as before people aren't gonna be happy.

I would love to explore The Deep Dark and fight the Warden as a super difficult challenge, but when it drops basically nothing worthwhile I'm not gonna waste my time. Funny how the Wither has the exact same problem despite releasing 12 years ago.

  12. something else that is positive for the crosbow using Peircing is to not waste arrows (even arrows with potions), sense is rare to have the conga line of mobs that would make the arrow disapear (so is a more balanced version of infinity if you rememoer to pick up your arrows)

  13. I would use llamas if I could trust them to not wander off or get stuck. Same with horses – I never use one when exploring bc the second I run into a forest, navigating while on a horse becomes so much more tedious. I wish they would overhaul the way oak/birch trees generate so their leaves are at least 3 blocks up from the ground to allow for easier navigation while riding animals and using llama caravans. Also most minecraft trees are unrealistically short imo except for old growth biomes

  14. I use multishot more foten than piecing for one simple reason. Fireworks. Its not at all viable for very early game but it isn't a huge issue to make a gunpower and sugar cane farm since youll need those eventually anyways and double tall flower farms are a dispenser and two observers so they are dirt cheap

  15. You can use Piercing to pass through an enemy shield on PvP, You can also combine this with Harming II Arrows to damage enemies (Healing for undead) to cause extra damage ignoring any armor of the target, have a good day :3

  16. The main solution to solve this dilemma; peaceful mode (hear me out)
I'm a certified wuss and so I rarely even go on easy mode unless if I'm playing with others. Peaceful mode mostly gets rid of some things (ie an ethical way of getting ender pearls, no trident, etc) but I tend to have fun just exploring the world, maybe setting up base, just turn off my brain and build something. This is just a me thing tho, some people may not be into this sort of play style and I understand that, but for those who don't wanna rush stuff, this is probably one of the better options.

  17. To add on the crossbow love: tipped arrows also work really well with it (I know another mechanic rarely used). A multi shot crossbow with harming arrows for example can one shot iron golems if all three connect. It also kills players since harming doesn’t care about your armor.

  18. In bedrock, the crossbow is even worse.

Fireworks don't explode in collision, sometimes fire in very off angles, and it BARELY does any damage

I kid you not the time I wasted to look for the right enchantments only to be disappointed by what I got 🙁

i just wanted to make a rocket launcher…

  19. I find it funny that once in a blue moon that mojang adds a new weapon, they worry too much about balance when sharpness and power V are op af

  20. I think piecing is cool for 2 reasons, 1. They can go through shields which is good for long range pvp, and 2. That the arrows go through mobs and not into them so that you can pick the arrows up again and since there’s no infinity it helps if you don’t have too many arrows.
