  1. Gateways have a chance of dropping Apotheosis Gems after they complete, and they work without players, so you can automate them pretty easily with any Mob Crusher + an Item Collector. It takes a while to get to the last wave, so you generally want to run multiple at once (you need to space them out a bit for it to work, they can’t be set up next to each other). For Gem Dust, the best dimension to run it in is the End, cause the minimum rarity there is Rare / Flawed. I’ve used Modular Routers with Activator modules + Mob Slaughter Factory (cause I don’t really need the drops as much), and just used a filtering system to separate the drops. You can use either the Gateway of Overworldian Nights or the Gateway of the Hellish Fortress, although I recommend the latter if you just want Gems and don’t want to worry about all of the other drops. This should (i think?) work in regular ATM9, and can be a good replacement for a mob farm.

An important thing to note is that if you don’t kill the mobs fast enough, the gateway will explode, which is why I’ve used obsidian and am activating the routers from a distance, but this usually won’t be a problem if you’ve set the arena up properly (have a lot of space on top, otherwise mobs will spawn on the highest block). Also don’t run this in a Hyperbox, it’s more complicated to set up and doesn’t have any dimension-specific gem drops like the Vanilla dimensions.
