I am really struggling to find a modern modpack to play, thats fun and relaxing that I can play slowly after work.
There are so many options and so many feel thrown together or too fast progression or too intense with everything that wants eat to me. I just need something chill preferably techy to unwind with at the end of a day.
Sooo I have put together this rubbishy image so you can see what I am trying to find.

(This is not a meme this a question that I have made a visual guide for)

It is Fabric, but I started Prominence 2 with the gf recently and we’re enjoying it so far. It’s a tad less guided quest-wise so you need to have some knowledge of the mods, but coming from ATM7 and 8 it’s a refreshing take.

Cool landscapes, interesting dungeons and other structures, cool unique loot. You can play a decent time without going mining once. On the tech side it’s got Industrial Evolution and Tech Reborn. Some recipes have been limited to only be possible through Create.

It’s not too intense and although bosses are tedious you can definitely solo some without godlike gear.

Solid performances with the provided shader.

This is literally just Statech Industry. Tech based with optional magic (you can skip magic entirely), expert style, quests, it’s complicated but not GT-level complciated, it has Create though it is only required early game and later is optional and it’s for 1.19.2. Some building and decoration mods are present.

It’s Fabric though, but that doesn’t change anything.

  3. Uncharted Expeditions is a lot of fun. Changes a lot of recipes and has a good sense of humour. Dubbed an expert lite pack. Great building potential with a well thought out quest line

  4. hardrock TFC i think. Terrafirmacraft takes care of the exploration, and visual aspects, then later has create and mekanism for tech. no magic.

though its a bit of a slow start it will take a while until you get to the create stuff
