This trend has been brewing for such a long time. I absolutely hated when those awful "LOSER P*DO CREEP" videos started popping up, I never clicked any of them but they just kept coming. YouTube needs to take action and curb this kind of content.

There is very little competition in the Minecraft animation industry. A lot of videos are made about it but only a few channels make high quality animation.

The unfortunate Truth at least that I can see is that most documentaries/videos these days deal with the topics negatively. Never focusing on anything happy or uplifting about the game or its community. Always focusing on what went wrong, or who had a downfall. A lot of videos these days are only focused on the bad things. It's really sad to see. Whatever happened to the internet being a nice place to go to? Where people would share their experiences with others, communicate with others, and just have a good time in general. 15 years ago the internet was a great place to be on. Now it's just turned into a cesspool of hate. Now all people care about are views and subscribers/money. It's rare to see someone that uploads just for the sake of uploading or just to bring a smile to someone's face. And even if views subscribers are needed they don't go out of their way to over exaggerate their need for them. I wish the internet could go back in time 15 years, or thatbthe world could see itself in a different spectrum :'(

On topic of videos that criticises modern Minecraft and say that "it is bad or souless", most of them claim that they are making "objective critiques" of the modern version of game while in reality are very subjective (i.e focusing towards feelings like nostalgia of the old game instead of objective facts). The only videos that show actual objective criticism with well-thoughout points are the ones made by Whitelight, TheGeekFactor, and some other youtubers which I forgot their names. Sure, Modern Minecraft has many flaws and it would be an absolute copium to deny otherwise, but it is still the perfect game for who have the intrinsic motivation to play it (in other words, doing stuff in the game like building for the sake of just doing them), also you still can modify the game to your liking with plenty of mods, shaders, resourcepacks, plugins, datapacks and more.

I recently noticed how tired I am of the internet. I deleted my social media accounts and made new accounts on youtube accounts solely for animation and art tutorials in general. now whenever I go back I see the sheer hate that's spewing everywhere. posts or videos that are popular aren't about things people love, it's about things the hate. and people hate everything for the tiniest of reasons, totally unexplainable bottled up rage that people just blast everywhere they go. I'm so tired of this and it seems like most of those people make themselves angry on purpose.

I love video essays because they're long and it's nice to work while they're in the background and the drama ones are always the most popular. it doesn't matter if it's minecraft, crochet, digital art niches. they ALL have their dramas that are more popular than anything else

You always stand out regardless of if there is a gap in the YouTube market to take advantage of.
