I divorced Abigail for hayley
That's video game cutscene logic for ya. In game you are a god but the moment you enter a cutscene your character gets hit with the nerf hammer
What would you expect from video game cutscenes For me I liked her because sometimes he joke around like in the festivals And i can relate to her I would give every single amethyst for her enjoyment and to see her smile
If Stardew Valley would do a collaboration with Terraria and add the NPCs.
I'd honestly go straight to date and marry the Guide.

I see you saying on other comments that the relationship with Abigail feels forced. I disagree. She's not a "broken" character you have to fix like Shane and she's not a stuck up girl that has a change of heart like Haley.
Abigail has her shit together from the start. She knows what she wants. She actually has the least issues of just about any of the female marriage candidates. Sure she's probably the bastard daughter of the Wizard but that's about the extent of her problems other than Pierre being well, Pierre lol.
I feel that of the relationships I've played through, Maru's feels the most disingenuous to me. The whole story arc of your romance is about Demetrius being overbearing and Maru building a robot. There's no real romance to the story.
With Abigail you see the relationship blossom and grow with each subsequent heart event and by the time you reach 14 hearts it shows she's really matured. She still plays video games and keeps a guinea pig but her personality isn't really "bratty teen" in my opinion.
You guys arguing like its a real life relationship. Go get a real partner lmao

I don’t think all y’all get that a lot of the characters (Haley, Alex, Sebastian, Abigail and Sam) are like, very, very young adults/older teenagers (like 18/19). Of course they still live with their parents! You know what I mean? A lot of the times children stay at their parents houses for years after graduating high school in other countries. We should try to destigmatize it at least.
At least that’s how I see it, especially with their ages. I’m 17 so imaging them as young adults/older teenagers is better than imagining them as adults yk?

I only like her because she has purple hair and her two, four, and eight heart events are nice. Plus I play the flute too 🙂

But it’s funny that she is low tier when Sam is just the male version of her. Abigail is like one of the most sought after marriageable characters in the game for men.
Do I regret as a teen ager going for Shane, Yes. Did I have that I can fix him mentally. Yes BUT now I go for Elliott who in reality has no prospects but he’s pretty and I’m a book nerd who enjoys a good poem.
😂😂 It’s funny because now that I look at it I married a man cross between Elliott and Shane. Though he’s much more productive and actually went to school for his aspirations.

Being a teacher and loving kids IS having a personality….. Being a mother alone is a lot of personality within itself. If you don’t like kids that’s on you. But there’s nothing boring about being a mother or wanting to be a mother.

I agree that the older I get the less interested I am with characters like Sam and them, I used to love him but now he seems so immature and irresponsible, not a bad person but more flash than substance. It does seem like the male characters like Sam and Sebastian get a free pass for traits female characters get hated on for.

It's interesting you call the graveyard scene immature when the first thing Pierre walks up to her and says "This is no place for a young lady". I don't think its just about the asking her to cook dinner I think there is constant expectations put on her by her father to act a certain way because of her gender that really pisses her off and caused her to lash out the way she did.
Maybe just me but I grew up with overbearing parents so I relate to her. And while I have dark parts inside my outside is very bright most of the time. Much like she appears to me.
And while I was also maxed out combat when I got her cutscene I adore it because it feels like we protect each other. And in my new save I miss our statue
If you decide to married to Abigail get ready to play second fiddle to Sebastian even after you're married.
I made that mistake only to see her gallivanting all around Stardew Valley with him!

Im almost 30, so i tend to see the younger coded marriage candidates as like… teens. I just feel weird romancing them.
I stick to older ones like Elliott, Harvey and modded ones like Sorren and Gregory.
Don’t get me wrong but looks like everyone have someone on their mind. Alex is with Haley, Clint love Emily, Penny sits near Sam, Aby is with Sebastian. So there are only Harvey, Shane and Maru available. And maybe Elliot and Leah if you want to be the third in their relationship
Ngl, i like her but i get that she's not the best bachelorette. Realistically there are way better characters to marry but i just really love the color purple

I'm playing right now and Abigail is the only one i have a dated in game before and i'm at 9 hearts
