Both rows of comparator are facing the same way. Have one be facing the other direction.
Also, rather than having the torch at the beginning, move it at the end before the piston.

What you need is a pulse extender. The simplest one is two rows of comparators (in the opposite direction) with redstone dust connecting them at conners

The comparators have to send the signal in a circle, with each comparator adding a tick of delay when the signal weakens. Flip 1 row (doesn’t matter which one) the other way.
I would also suggest adding a repeater directly after the comparators, instead of having 3 dust. That maximises signal length.
